Works great, but here are some tips
Yes, the caps are a bit tricky to get on, but here are a few tips: 1) I found the rings will fit the clear Bud Lite with Lime bottles perfectly. The labels also peel off the these bottles better. 2) I used a metal chip clip as a clap to hold the bolt, ring, and nut in place so I could finger tighten it. Ironically, the chip clips were also bought on Amazon— I highly recommend the chip clips! We use them all the time. 3) I then wrapped a rubber band around the bolt, ring, and nut, and reapplied the clip to help held the nut in place as I tightened the bolt with the screwdriver. This method made the process take about 1-2 minutes per bottle. The tops fit great.

Fits Sam Adams bottles and other homebrew bottles
The biggest problem i found with some reviews for these caps was whether they fit used Sam Adams bottles or other homebrew bottles that are of the same size. I am very happy to say they fit perfectly. The Sam Adams bottles i had(old cherry wheat bottles) allowed me to connect these quite easily. The fit on these bottles seemed be a little bit snugger that on the other homebrew bottles i have. Both types of bottles seem to hold pressure quite well. I am working on a 2 month pressure test comparing these to counter pressure filled capped bottles of both types and the swing tops of both types. I will update this review when i know how they hold up. So far the week that beer was bottle in here showed no sign of carb loss over that time. If they continue to hold pressure i will be buying lots more. The ability to remove these from bottles and reattach to new bottles (i.e. if you drop a bottle and break it) will probably save lots of money over other flip top bottles if the will hold pressure. I would definitely recommend these to anyone that wants the convenience of flip tops without having to pay 30 dollars a 12 pack if they have old homebrew bottles already. Cheers and happy brewing! Edit Dec 2022: So I forgot to update this review. Happy to say I'm still using these alongside some grolsch bottles. I had these hold pressure easily for 6 months. Works great!

Works well with proper bottles.
As shown in the illustrations, "one size does NOT fit all." Measure the top of your bottles. Difficult to assemble? Perhaps the first one or two. After you sort it out, easy peasy! I did however, forego the "carrying rings." Kind of says, "Hi! I'm a dork!" Hahaha. Great product. Would give five stars if the company made a similar product for other size bottles. Will reorder!

Cheap product for at home fermenting
This product was reasonably priced considering I can just put these on old bottles. The cost of new bottles were 2 to 3 times as much which made this choice a smarter one for people new to fermenting. But getting these buggers onto the bottles was not an easy feat. Take a look at the directions on the listing as well as the video. We were fighting with the tiny screw and washer only to find out we were putting them on upside down . After watching the video we figured it out but that was after hours of fighting with them. The price is worth the hassle. Just wish sellers included instructions in the product or at least a note that says "check the listing for directions ".

Does not seal well under pressure
Unfortunately they don't work as well as I wanted. I am brewing water kefir and kombucha, storing them in my pantry. I purchased 9 flip top lid bottles with the lids permanently attached. These are awesome. I wanted to add to my count by reusing some used beer bottles. These will absolutely not work with a twist off top like my Shiner bottles, but they did fit with some other bottles that have a tapered part at the top, see photos. But after a two week secondary fermentation, these bottles have little to no carbonation, and you can see a touch of leakage. The difference is, the rubber grommet is more like a washer, than the other lids, so carb is leaking out between the plastic and rubber, not the bottle and rubber. If I could get them slightly tighter, they may work.

Convert crown tops to flip tops and never have to cap again.
These work great for converting crown top bottles to flip tops. Fits 12, 16 and 22 oz bottles well. Will not work on screw top bottles. The necks are not the same. A little hard to get all the little pieces lined up and screwed together. But, once it's done, they work perfectly.

Perfect, just what I needed.
Love these, I bought them for the amber beer bottle collection I had. They are perfect. Had no trouble putting them on. I just wished I bought more…they seal perfectly. They are very sturdy yet easy to open and close. It’s a great value.

2 Beer Job
These are allowing me to convert some Sam Adams bottles for reuse. To say they are fiddly to assemble is an understatement, but I have a hack. First, get yourself a cold beer, you're going to need patience. Get a small Philips screwdriver, a small pair of cutters, and some slip joint pliers. Also, this is key, get yourself about (15) 4" zip ties. Now that you've got all your supplies together, have a sip of that cold beer. MMMmmm. Good. Now you've got the right attitude. Unbag and untangle all the swing top assemblies so you can work with them one at a time. As you may expect, anything that is "universal" will require some tweaking to get right. You need to check and bend the swing top bail ends so they (a) fit the bottle neck without ridiculous tension, and (b) bend the wires so the ends are square to the bottle neck when in place so they don't slip out of the stainless retainer band. See the photos for details. Once you have them dialed in, slip the stainless bands onto the bail wires' ends, so they are in the holes. Probably time for another sip of that beer you have sitting there. Now, at this point, if you're a person who really enjoys a challenge, you could slip that assembly onto the bottle neck, and try to hold it in place with one hand, while trying to put the retaining screw in the tab where it goes, slip the fancy handle ring on the screw, put it through the other tab's hole, and with your third hand try to put the nut on the screw. Then pick up the parts that fell on the floor - don't hit your head on the table getting back up. By now, you've figured that hack I mentioned might come in handy. Have another sip of that beer. Take a zip tie, and thread it to form a loop that will fit over the stainless retaining screw tabs when they're loose on the bottle. Pinch them together with one hand, and cinch that zip tie down to hold them tight. Have another sip of your beer and recognize that was a good idea... Now, you can put the screw through one side, slip on the fancy ring/handle, and push the screw through the other tab. Might need the screwdriver and some mild swearing, but it'll go. Then just put the nut on the exposed end, tighten it down, then use your cutters to snip off the zip tie. Repeat 12 or 13 more times, because you'll forget to put the fancy handle/ring on once or twice and have to take a step back and redo that. By now, it's time for that second beer, and the warm glow of accomplishment that accompanies saving yourself ten dollars by doing twenty dollars worth of labor. Don't feel bad, I did it too.
