Being a Special Operations soldier for the last 29 years in the US Army, I have used all forms of glow in the dark tapes, powders, fobs ect. A few of my soldiers purchased this item and I was able to see how well it performed first hand. As far as the glow fob itself. It’s very robust and holds the tritium very securely. The glow in the dark isotope holds its glow very well, a lot longer than many of the items we currently use today. It is NOT bright enough to read by nor navigate by, but is very useful for locating objects in dark environments. The darker and the longer you stay in the dark area, away from light, the easier it is to see the fob. We navigate many times in complete darkness, so preserving our nighttime vision is critical to our training as well as missions, that being said, we do not use white light at night. I now have this fob, as well as a few others with my gear ready for my next deployment. I will try and write back as to how well they hold up under these type conditions, but so far they have survived over 40 free fall parachute jumps, at least 20 deep water military scuba dives and several months of very harsh desert and urban training scenarios. I just ordered this one in the aqua color to see how bright it is compared to the green. In my opinion, this is a very nice product, and no, the company has not offered me a thing to write this. Junk and not close to description

My wife knows I've been wanting a tritium keychain for a long time. It arrived today. Be aware that the glow pellet included in this keychain is a glow in the dark piece of plastic which is fine, but it is not probably what most people are expecting. It is a clever design that uses the light from a Not Included tritium vial to charge the glow in the dark plastic pellet. I was not able to find a 3x11mm tritium vial on Amazon for less than $25. I just ordered one from Taiwan for about $11. You have to read carefully about what is and is not included in the price of this item. It is not clear to my wife, and I had also assumed that it would be in the package.

Got it a bit ago, the Tritium was ordered separately because of federal law regarding radioactive materials, and if you can read you'll notice in several places it mentions Tritium not included. Not as bulky as I was worried it might be, but I am just a touch concerned that the only thing holding the glow pellet in there is friction and a prayer, and I ain't been to church in a hot minute. Wouldn't mind there being an endcap that screwed on, instead of that gasket. If it falls apart in my pocket, or worse, out of my pocket, might have to come back and knock a star off, if it doesn't, I'm coming back to add a star. Four for now.

Great item, will stay brightly lit for many years

Unfortunately the small item doesn’t hold up to it’s name. It doesn’t glow as bright as advertised and when you do put it under the sun, the glow fades away quickly. Put it up for a solid hour and as soon as I let it inside on my desk, the glow faded away within 10 minutes. Not even held to it’s value and a pointless gimmick.

Just got mine today, still waiting on my vial to ship, DO NOTE when it’s all said and done your into this thing for about 55 bucks. The trit vial is not included, I knew this going into it but if you look at the ones that do include the vial you will see they are similarly priced. Cool little keychain but being cool isn’t always cheap 😉😂
