are the strings pre-assembled? Do I need to thread each star through the string?

Yes, the strings are pre-assembled.

How many stars are included? Interested in writing names on them. Need to make sure I have enough stars.

I just got this and I counted 33 on the string, which means, assuming that they are all the same, 330 stars altogether.

What is the difference between the sets A B and C

Sets A is just stars, sets B is moon and star, sets C is star and circle. You can click the style to see the picture.

Can we write on the stars ?

You should be able to if you use a Sharpie permanent marker.
