Take a ticket to ride and enjoy the musical atmosphere of one of Tangerine Dreams most challenging projects, based on Kafkas unfinished story. THE CASTLE is never meant to be a building as we would expect it. Kafka goes much further, into a deeper study of mankind and society.

Simply the best
This album is definitively among Tangerine Dreams best albums. It's not comparable to their early albums, since this one is very different. This immediately became my favourite album in a long time. While in covid-19 seclusion/solitude I have purchased a LOT of new and unknown (to me) music, and this was the best surprise of them all.

Vinyl sounds like cr&p
Great music on this release, but this is a comment on the quality of the vinyl pressing. K-Scope is always hit or miss, this one is definitely miss. Snap, crackle and pop throughout all 4 sides. I have all of Tangerine Dream Studio and Live releases on CD and all that are available on vinyl, with the exceptions of some few rare singles. This sounds worse than some of the pressings I have from the 70's. Just a heads up for vinyl lovers thinking this has the same quality as some of the recent releases by Invisible Hands Music.

One can only post a standard answer at time! ...
One can only post a standard answer at time! RIP Edgar Froese Whether the group will continue on or not is still to be seen and the main composer's talents will sure be missed! Been following the group since the mid 1970s!

... Sonic Poem series which consists of musical interpretations of great works of literature
Part of Tangerine Dream's Sonic Poem series which consists of musical interpretations of great works of literature, in this case "The Castle" by Franz Kafka. All the releases in this series are worth having… absorbing albums all. High recommendation.
