An inside view to the sports
A good read !

Revised: Jumps ahead too far, couldnt do it - equipment, inner tube and hawaiian sling.
Had to revise my review after going and thinking about it. This book jumps ahead too fast. Start with snorkeling and a hawaiian sling near a jetty and away from fishing lines / times. Otherwise you are going off the deep end and visibility underwater or distance from shore and away from fisherman lines is an enormous obstacle that VERY FEW people ever do. Even then, I would stay closer to an anchor line, flashers, and lights - either from a boat or attached to my TWO floats. One tire, one cooler.Regardless: Short, easy read that is written in a friendly tone and with links to other resources. Author jumps into Google Earth, Drifting, and shooting from the bottom up. As a newbie it is much easier to shoot down, stick to jetties, and use another offline map program. Navionics is good, Locus Maps as well. There are others, PS - offline maps cost money and I seriously doubt you will look at them withoit being on a boat, but still useful.A tip I wish they wrote - bring a fresh water bottle with your float. The sun, salt, and all that swimming are exhausting. Long sleeve hoodie for shallow water - wetsuit and counterweights if you actually dive.Lots of reference to taking a Freediving course, would be nice to have read some details about what that might include or techniques. My 2 cents: breath hold in 5 gallon bucket every day before or after a run / during sprints. Crazy, but cheap. Maybe it turns you into a superhero, who knows. Not a lot of technical knowledge - I would have liked to see some pictures or sketches, like how to rig to a float. All those lines in the water are a nightmare. Have less. Maybe rig the dive buoy directly to the floatStill - great place to start, and this sport seems to be pretty dangerous so maybe a book can only take you so far safely.

Good Enough
This book has some decent tips and some that are kind of common sense. I was hoping this book concentrated more on the "tricks of the trade" but a few of these tips seem like they're just filler. Nonetheless, there were a few tips that I was able to implement into my dives as a new spearo. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because for a $20 full-priced book there really shouldn't be any advertising, but there is. This seems more like a magazine with various ads sprinkled from page to page and I just feel that shouldn't be a thing for a book that costs this much.

Great book for after you have already been spearfishing
I read this book from cover to cover in about an hour. It is more like a magazine with advertisements than an educational book. This is definitely a book for people looking to get better at spearfishing and not for people who want to try it for the first time. I had to stop reading and research what they were talking about since I am new to all of this. What is hook breathing? What is a float line? etc. The pictures are awesome but it would be cool if there was a short caption to describe each photo including location, fish species, person's name etc. Great book that I will read again and reference in the future. I can hear the Australian accents through the text. Haha.

Why can't I give it 10 stars?? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This fabulous ebook is an absolute must for every enthusiastic Spearo's library, from noob to vet! Not only is each tip just stuffed with highly actionable intel on how to max out your hunt, but each tip has tips within tips!!! The publisher must have had a character limit which kept the quantity of tips in the title to double digits, because in reality this is easily triple digits of tips - certainly well into the hundreds.I read this book on the flight to my latest spearfishing trip and was a much better Spearo as a result, landing the most epic fish of my life. My bottom times exploded, my hunting was highly stealthy, and the fish feared me more than ever.Plus, this book comes from the esteemed producers of the Noob Spearo podcast, so you can listen to all sorts of epic Spearo talk from down under to further hone your skills and connect with the Spearo community.Buy this book, become a more badass Spearo.

Valuable Summary of Tips
Short, concise, and straight to the point. You could find hundreds of tips off Google searches but in this book, the author summarizes many important ones and includes first-hand experiences from other watermen. Valuable information to have compiled in one book.

The Curtis Creek Manifesto of Spearfishing
Good read from Shrek and Turbo. Coming from a fly fishing background I can say it’s the Spearfishing equivalent of the Curtis Creek Manifesto. It won’t win a Pulitzer (sorry Shrek) but it is fun to read, great pictures, you can reopen to any page and read for ages minutes and pick up some great tips for spearing. Adam in SoCal.

A good read
A really good collection of tips for spearfishing. The book is well written and the authors have a good sense of humour that makes it an easy read. I am new to spearfishing and this book has a lot of information that will help me improve. I have also been working my way through the noobspearo podcast that the authors run, and although it is not necessary to understand the book, I would recommend readers also listen to the podcasts; mainly because they are good both in an informative and entertaining manner. On the podcasts they interview renowned spearfishers and a lot of the tips are direct from their mouths. A lot of the tips are covered in the podcasts but the reason I like this book is it is a concise collection of the best tips from over 40hours of interviews and triggers my memory of the more in depth discussion on the podcast. Also having the points itemised helps me to pick one or two points I want to work on when I go for a dive rather then trying to work on 10 things at once.Strongly recommend for all spearfishing enthusiasts particularly for those that are newer to the sport.

I think the proof-reader was overpaid.
I was very disappointed in the quality. Grammatical, spelling, and syntactical errors are on almost every page and some of the tables and charts seem more as "fill" than informative. Definitely some good stuff in here, but it is frustrating to stop reading to try and figure out what is actually being said.

More tips then you could shake a stick at!
Such an easy read, all the tips are nice, short and easy to get your head around. Purchasing this book you are being rewarded with the tricks and tips that these guys have acquired over years and they really go the distance. A must read for anyone in the sport, and this should almost be a prerequisite for anyone who wants to be a good dive buddy. A few tips that I made a conscious effort of doing and they have paid off big time. Also check out Shrek and Turbo's podcast noobspearo dot com (wont let me post the url) for a good laugh and even more tips then you could shake a stick at!
