Fit well on one side of my refrigeration, and safe from breakage. I sometimes need extra space for something else and found placing it on top of this hard plastic egg holder, without the worry of breaking the eggs. Good product.

My chickens provide about 35 eggs per week. These egg holders are made from very thick plastic and safely hold both the small and large eggs from my hens (I often have huge eggs from one hen that are double yokes). My purpose in purchasing these egg containers is to give away eggs to my friends and be able to wash the containers upon return. These containers are designed for your refrigerator, for which you will not be disappointed. I will update my review after experience with my friends taking them home in their cars. So far after two weeks, excellent results - no broken eggs. Update 04/27/14: Very pleased with these egg cartons. No broken eggs, dishwasher safe, etc. I have dropped these several times (no eggs inside) and not even a crack or chip. Excellent product. Update 4/1/2015: After lots of use, these containers still work perfectly. The only minor item would be that the lid does not attach, but just rests on the top. However, I have given away dozens of eggs to my friends using these containers and no chips, or cracks in the plastic. They have been washed 50+ times in the dishwasher with no issues. Great product.

We have just 4 hens on our property, but I needed something more sturdy than a second-hand Styrofoam egg carton that I could continue to reuse for our eggs. This holds 14 and I just put it on the top shelf of my fridge. I don't know if it would fit in the door, but it works great for our fridge. The top is flat so you can put other things on it (like a second egg holder!) and it's very hard plastic so it won't sag or bend. I have no problem putting the lid on, even on top of the largest eggs, so it's plenty tall. The lid lifts completely off, so if you're looking for something that has a hinged or attached lid, this isn't it. It can be easily washed. The only minor problem I've had is trying to get the larger eggs out of the 4 corner holes, but even that was a very minor issue. Really convenient!

Reviews here seem to talk about different items. This review is for InterDesign Covered Egg Holder - Refrigerator Storage Container, 14 Egg Tray, Clear. I got it as an add on so my price was a bit lower but, the plastic is so hard that you have to place the eggs in carefully or they'll crack. It is also such a tight fit that the end eggs have to be removed carefully or after you've removed the ones before so you can have enough room for your fingers to slip in and pull them out. I've also noticed that the jumbo and extra large eggs don't sit all the way in and just barely touch the lid top. Otherwise it's an okay item in my book. I won't go out and buy more.

First, I must decry the current age where you spend $2000 for a refrigerator, and the manufacturer is too cheap to provide an egg holder and butter dish - as they routinely did- back in the day. As for this product, it is well made. Solid, clear, and has a nice lid. It does a wonderful job of -HOLDING EGGS. What a technological marvel! 14 eggs, each with a nice depression to nestle their little shells. Snark aside, I have an LG 29 cubic ft refrigerator with a pull out tray, and this fits in nicely. It is a nice product, but really - $15 for a piece of molded plastic! It ain't a computer flash drive type technology, but try to store eggs in your flash drive. I guess the manufacturer know you will hold on to this like a family keepsake to pass on generation to generation, and they want their profit up front.

First of all, let me just say that I am an InterDesign Fridge and Freezer Binz junkee. Can't help myself...I love it all. I also have their all-purpose storage binz too. What can I say? These products are wonderful. They are sturdy, see-through plastic of the highest quality. They easily slide in and out of the fridge. They keep your fridge and freezer well organized and great looking. Like one of the other reviewers said, "It's life changing." Today I received my much-anticipated egg carton. It is beautiful. I had absolutely no problem placing and removing my eggs into the egg compartments. Although the lid does not snap on, it stays in place for me and I can stack other food products on top of it without fear of breakage. True, it doesn't fit on my refrigerator door but I store my eggs on the bottom shelf anyway, and it fits just fine. Now here's something I want to make perfectly clear: THE PACKAGING CLEARLY SAYS, "HAND WASH WITH MILD DETERGENT AND WATER; DO NOT CLEAN IN DISHWASHER." So for all customers who are complaining that their egg cartons melted in the dishwasher, your packaging forewarns you. Besides, I personally don't see what the big deal is about hand-washing your carton in warm sudsy water. I am so darn pleased with InterDesign's Binz. I would recommend them to everyone. Pricing is pretty good on Amazon.com and if you have Amazon Prime, you'll get it in two days.

I searched and searched for an egg keeper - you can't find them anywhere in stores anymore! The lid fits on top, but does not snap on - actually, I think that is better than a tight fit, because you would not want your eggs to be stored in an airtight container, with the moisture accumulating with them. It holds 14 eggs, and has the rounded slots for them. Other containers were just flat, so the eggs would roll around in them. Great container. Just what I was looking for.

When I bought my new fridge, it Didn't come with a built in tray, or door slot for eggs, so I had to buy something, find this beauty and I'm In LOVE with it, it holds 14 eggs, it's sleek and sturdy, the lid slides into place and Doesnt move or pop inside itself when you grab it. Highly recommend!

This egg holder with nice, heavy clear plastic with deep wells and cover suits best to keep eggs in the coldest part of the fridge. But make sure you have deep shelves on your fridge. Otherwise go for the six-egg version. That this egg holder has 131 five star reviews in amazon.com, USA speaks itself for the quality and utility of this egg holder. The only gripe many have expressed is that the lid just sits on the top and it is a little difficult to pull the eggs from the front and back-end egg wells.. A snap fit cover is preferred. But for ease of.use I prefer the loose fit. The flat lid apart from protecting the eggs enables one stack other small items on it. All in all a most desirable well-made product. One perhaps can't find a better one. That rightly takes a pride of place in my fridge. .
