Great read for those interested.
I am 70 now and have been one of those people on the fringe of normal social interactions. Why? Because I am different. That difference being someone raised without boundaries applied by hardline deniers of anything outside the 5 physical senses. This book answers a lot of questions for me and affirms things I come to understand by myself. Aside from this. The start of this book has a bunch of historical background as foundational work. This is slow and hard to trudge through. About half way through it picks up nicely and gains momentum. By the end, you should be more informed and happy.

A broad coverage of ESP history, and its philosophy.
Review of the kindle edition. The book starts with approaching ESP from the narrow perspective of standardized scientific experiments (e.g. guess what is in the box in the next room and describe it, in a controlled environment) and talks about his experiences with this sort of approach, why ESP experiments have not shown spectacular results, and the history of parapsychology. The reader is then invited to broaden his/her perspective of what ESP really is, where is originates from, and how ESP is tied to many elements of the human psyche that are intrinsic but latent. Swann contends that ESP doesn't need to be 'developed' at all, rather we just need to get out of its way for it to reveal itself. In my view, this is a very subtle but critical component of successful practitioners who seem to have intuitively figured it out. Swann lays this out very logically and rationally so that everyone may be able to do it. In the end, the techniques for 'getting out of the way' all have to do with quieting what Swann calls the 'front lobe consciousness', (also called as the monkey mind, or the superficial conscious mind by others), so that pre-formed information can arise from the currently unconscious parts of ourselves, or even 'the universal human mind'. In this way, he says, ESP works by directly accessing information without the need for our rational mind to go through the laborious process of data collection-analysis-deduction in our minds. There are a lot of other books out there approaching the same topic from very different views. Swann approaches it from the viewpoint of his remote viewing past, so for me it was a valuable insight into how the government and alphabet intelligence agencies might view human consciousnesses. As with all books from Swann, there is a lot of discussion and contextualization around the topic before we even get to the main points. This is so that the reader can fully understand all aspects of the topic in question. Some might even call this approach overkill, but that is the style of the author. Personally, I appreciate it AFTER I've finished the book, but while reading sometimes you'd just wish he'd get to the point ;) This is a short book though, so it wasn't much of a problem.Other Cons: There were about ten odd images in the book - the kindle edition does a very poor job of rendering images. Its not a deal breaker for me, as the explanation is there in the text.

Expand your mind
This book is a quick history and explanation of military funded ESP, or Remote Viewing. Ingo Swann gives you first hand knowledge about the process and its uses. The fact that the government trained and used military psychics successfully for years really opens your eyes to the possibilities of what the layman can actually do. It seems like every other day more & more people, (Ex military) and (Black Budget) are coming out of the woodwork and confessing on the validity of this process. Major Ed Dames, Robert Dean, John Lear, the list goes on. You dont need to purchase this book to learn about remote viewing, but its good to hear the process from the horses mouth, rather than learning about it in passing on conspiracy theory forums. Since the book is out of print it is expensive, but fully recommend. Buy its used and pass it on

Just Doodle Like a Kid
I was hoping for a little more detail on the process of remote viewing, but instead it was a lot more about the history of parapsychology and his technique amounted to doodle as if you were a kid instead of letting your grown up mind get in the way. Considering that Ingo Swann was instrumental in developing remote viewing for the military, and there is a pretty rigid format they follow, I feel like Ingo left something out or professional remote viewers have added a lot. Overall, a little let down, but will practice doodling more and see what happens.

Awesome Book - Too bad it's out of print
***WARNING**** This book and Natural ESP: THe ESP Core and it's Raw Characteristics are the same books - Save yourself the $$The only negative thing I can say about this book is the fact that Natural ESP by Ingo Swann is the same exact book put out by Bantam Books. The bantam version is older than this eddition. Had I known, I woudln't have shelled out the $$$ since books by Ingo Swann are so expensive.. However, the book I purchased was $60 and now I see I can't get it for less than $118...After reading this book, I understand why books by Mr. Swann are so expensive... I really believe it is because TPTB (The Powers That Be) don't want you reading this book because it quite simply gives you the control to take your power back..Ingo Swann should be required reading.

Ingo Swann Was One the Best Psychics of Our Time
As psychics go, Ingo Swann is the real deal. He coined the term “remote viewing” when working and being tested as one of our country’s original group of psychic spies. He was also an accomplished artist. One of his ideas that became an important part of remote viewing is to have the viewer draw the shapes and angles of what the viewer perceives rather than starting with descriptive language about the perception.

I like Ingo Swann because he triggered my curiosity. I had many expectations on how I can learn Remote Viewing the same way as I learn maths and science. If this is the case, you may be a little disappointed in the end, and this is the reason i give 4 stars. If you have the same expectation as I do, let me summarize the useful points from my perspective, and you can save your money buying other books.- Supersensation needs to tear off the label of inherent knowledge and experience.- Subconscious feeling sometimes after hypnosis.- Training remote viewing, you shouldn't feel the 'word' first, and you should feel the 'image' first. Words could create too many chaos and noises which can lower the accuracy.- believe, train, focus, experience, institution. This is my first Ingo's book, and will still explore Ingo's other books, so give a 4 star this time.

Expected more
This is not what I was expecting, first 50 pages are worthless, next 50 are pointless without knowing how as the info is meaningless until you try, then you get nothing but have someone place an object in another room and draw. That’s it, disappointed . I’ll try it however I was expecting so much more, it’s either that easy or this book is useless. Can’t decide which
