Our Miami Classic is quite possibly the most imitated shoulder holster system in the world. A direct descendant of the original shoulder system first introduced by Galco in 1970 (then the Famous Jackass Leather Company), the Miami Classic has since become the favorite of professionals worldwide. A key component of this patented shoulder system is its spider harness. All four points of the spider harness pivot independently and are connected by our unique clover shaped Flexalon swivel back plate, which is a Galco trademark. This results in a perfect fit and lasting comfort for all sizes and shapes. This system is constructed of premium saddle leather and includes holster, harness, ammo carrier and a set of system screws. The Miami Classic is fully modular. Optional accessories and components may be purchased separately. Made for semiautomatic pistols and some revolvers, the Miami Classic is available in right hand draw in tan or black finish.

Only Half Good
I have a lot of Galco holsters and I have always been pleased with the fit and quality of their products. So, when I decided I wanted a good shoulder holster for my S&W M&P 9, Fullsize, the first place I looked was Galco. I found this Miami Classic Rig here on Amazon for about $20 cheaper than enywhere else, so I ordered it. I already own a Galco Jackass Shoulder Rig for my Glock 19 and I absolutely love it. I would have ordered the same style for my M&P9, but Galco does not make it for the M&P pistols. The only shoulder holster they make for the M&P is the Miami Classic. I figured that it was still Galco, so why not give it a shot. First of all, the quality and construction was top notch, as I had expected. However, I quickly found some flaws with the design. First, the pistol fit into the holster nicely, but I quickly realized I had a problem with the Miami Classic style. Because the pistol is completely horizontal, you are going to have major problems with it printing on both the back and the front. I have an M&P9c Compact that fits in this holster as well and it still prints very noticeably. If you are a big guy (and by big guy I mean 48" chest or bigger, you probably won't have as much of a problem with this as I did at a 42" chest. However, I was willing to look past that because the only time I planned on wearing the holster was for long drives in the car, not so much for everyday concealment. Sadly, my issues did not end there. The shoulder straps are very nice quality and very well made. However, they are only 1" wide and after wearing the holster for only 20 minutes around the house, my shoulders began to get uncomfortable. Not good for long drives in the car. The last issue, and perhaps the biggest of all, was the spare magazine pouch. This product is advertised both here on Amazon and on Galco's Website to fit the S&W M&P 9/40, FULLSIZE. So, it would stand to reason that the magazine pouch for a $150 holster would fit the spare magazines for the pistol it is designed for. Nope. The retaining straps are about half an inch too short. I tried everything. I seated the magazine as far into the pouch as is possible; it was touching the base. I tried stretching the retaining strap but half an inch is a long way to go. No matter how hard I tired, I could not get the strap to secure. So, I can carry the pistol, but no spare magazines, which also causes the holster to ride awkwardly because the weight is not balanced. Maybe I got a bad one or something. The little code Galco prints on the holster matched the one on their website for the full size magazines. Now remember, I have the compact version of the pistol as well with the shorter magazines. THOSE magazines fit in the pouch just fine, with plenty of room to spare, so if you want to carry the 9c or the 40c, this holster just might work for you if you can get past the uncomfortable shoulder straps. All in all, I was not satisfied with having to make compromises, so I returned the holster and I will have to look elsewhere. It's a shame really, because the holster looked really nice and was very high quality, just not in the design and execution department, only the assembly. Seriously Galco, make sure the product actually fits what you claim it does and for the love of it all, make the straps wider; everyone else does.

Works fine for M2.0 40SW w/ safety but I replaced straps
This works fine for the SW M2.0 40 w/ safety. I replaced the straps with the 2.75" version for comfort. Very satisfied. Minus 1 star for having to change out harness to the thicker 2.75" version for comfort.

The Classic
I've owned and worn several of these over the years, both for work and in my personal life. For me, I've never had a reason to try other shoulder holsters, as the Miami Classic has been as close to perfect for my use as I've ever needed. Maybe there's better ones out there, but I am really happy with how these have always treated me.It's comfortable after wearing all day, it conceals well under a jacket, and it's easy to draw from.If you need a shoulder holster, you could do a lot worse than one of these.

This is what you really want!
Really nice quality. I can still remember Sonny Crockett wearing one of these on Miami Vice. This is the 2nd one I have bought. It takes time to get it adjusted the way you want it but where you're there it's awesome. If you like quality this is the stuff. I have all kinds of holsters and I tried to get off cheap but the fit just isn't there. Do yourself a favor, save the hassle of buying junk only to leave it in a box somewhere. Buy what you wanted in the first place but didn't want to part with the extra bucks. If you are wearing a jacket for winter or just a business man with a suit jacket, this is what you want! It feels so good carrying the firepower you want when it feels like this does. Buy one and tell me I'm wrong!

Still The Best
Still the best shoulder holster out there.Even if you kind of hear the Miami Vice soundtrack when think about buying one...Ideal for carrying in the car or if your, ahem, waistline is a bit much for inside the waistband carry. Or if your seatbelt latch wants to drive your carry gun through a kidney. This is an upgrade for me from a Miami Classic II for a 1911 since I changed guns. I'm a repeat customer for this brand and style, I guess that says something. The only down side is they come super tight and you have to spend some time working the gun in and out of the holster until it comes out easily. It took me about three hours while watching television.

Fits M&P 40 full size
I bought this on a recommendation from a police officer buddy. I drive and sit a lot so needed something comfortable and an easy draw. I'm a big guy, 6"2 275lb, and this fit me perfectly. It could easily adjust it to a larger or smaller size if needed. I wear it over a T-shirt and concealed under a button-down shirt. For obvious reasons I'm not going to open carry this rig. Out of the box my full size M&P 40 fits very snug (the mags too) but I've owned leather holsters like this before.. I just leave the pistol in it for a few days and it will loosen up just enough for an easy draw. Don't skimp on a nylon rig. Step up to a Galco.

As averted, would buy from seller again.
As averted, I really like the way it fits on my shoulders. The holster was really tight on my handgun, but I followed the advice from Galco. They said "wrapped my handgun in two 1 gallon ziplock kitchen bags; then tightened the retention screw and let it set for 24 hours." I had to do it twice but it worked like a charm..., the holster works and fits great. I love it! I would recommend this product and would buy from seller again.

awesome holster.
this holster is a perfect match for me, i have the m&p 40 and it fits perfect. broke it in pretty quickly only thing i have to say is i wish i had bought the tie downs at the same time, just ordered them and they are on the way but even without them it is of excellent quality. wish these weren't so expensive but you do have to lay out some money for good quality.
