No sure I understand your question. The name is on the roll and you cut it off on each side, making it as long as you want. For me, they left too much white space in between each ID name, but they are still nice labels. :)

Do these unravel at the ends when sewing them in clothes?

So far they haven’t. I bought the iron on also. They all seem to be working well.

Could you please clarify if they are sew-on or iron-on? I see a few reviews saying that these aren't sew-on and are instead iron-on.

It says sew on but they felt like there was adhesive on the back. It's been a few months, but I believe it said you could iron them on. They were very nice labels. We sewed ours on per my daughter's instructors list

How long does the ink last before it fades out?

Haven't seen it fade out, not sure if it ever will???
