I have only tested this at home and can't wait to put it through its paces in the wild. What I can honestly tell you is that this is inexpensive, but appears solidly built. The suction cup is very strong (tested it on a window) and I have no worry that it will hold up outside the vehicle. The tether provided is also a good insurance against accidental loss, and is long and strong. The joints are very good. the joint near the suction cup has detents so it locks solidly. The joint next to the camera isn't quite as secure, but none the less solid. I wish it was a bit more secure however. The plastic build is solid and should hold up for a long time and hold up to a good degree of abuse. I like the pouch it comes in so that is a nice touch. I recommend the product as an inexpensive solution with a good value.

Got this Suction Cup Mount about a week ago and has been using it and testing it out. I'm very impressed on how well it works. It's very sturdy once you lock it to the windshield. I tried to shake the base with my hand to see what the amount of play it has, and surprisingly it didn't move anywhere. I also have other windshield suction cup mount besides this GOMA suction cup, but the lock seems loose. I don't know if it's a defect or something, but when I tried to shake the base a to see if it has any kind of play, and it does. It's been very hot here in Texas for the past couple weeks, and so far this GOMA suction cup mount been great standing up to it. My other suction cup seems to be a little loose when it get's hot, but not this GOMA suction cup. Anyhow, so far I'm very satisfied with this GOMA suction cup mount. Highly recommended. For that being said, the durability of it I do not know just yet as I only had this for a week. I will try to post another review and let you know about the durability of it. Oh, didn't mention about the nice faux leather bag that it comes with. It's nice to have it, but I find that you don't really need it for the mount once it's lock on your windshield. However, it's nice to put your GoPro in to avoid scratches when putting away your GoPro when your car is parked. If you're using it for a dash cam :) This is just an honest review. Hello, I bought this product without many expectations but after months working with this product I'm taking my time to tell what I found. GoPro Cameras are part of my work day. I work as a cameraman with productions around USA following many kind of "extreme-sports" competitions. From Rodeo in Estes Park, Colorado to Snowboarding in Vermont. From Kiteboarding in the San Francisco Bay to Skydiving in Tampa Bay. The GoPro has the capacity to capture the real sense and feelings of each one of these activities but to get the 100% of the GoPro potential you will need the perfect accessory to set it wherever you need and the GOMA SOLID has the ideal features that allow it to fulfill all the exigences of my job. The suction cup is sturdy and it stays on for long time. I use it together with the Gopro app. Framing the shots is pretty easy and the shots come out pretty well. I have set this arm to a Kayak being expose to humidity without problem, neither abrupt movements or in extreme dusty conditions like when soothing in Southern Utah where dirt, wind and sun are essential part of DH competitions. Strong enough to endure a long quadrunner session where there were rain, snow and mud , GOMA arm is the best option I have found in the vast market of Gopro accessories. After trying many other options now Im finally glad that my money is well invested in an arm able to endure a working session around the country without problem. Now is my time to see how it works in the tropical forest this year when my production is coming down to Iquitos to shoot some local communities that have particular sports in the middle of the jungle. I'll update....

This thing is glorious. I stuck it to my kayak deck, the boat was stored on its side so the mount w/ camera was perpendicular to the ground. I figured I would leave it on and test how long it will stick. It lasted about two hours before falling off. No biggie though, I kinda expected it. My kayak has a sort of brushed satin finish so I didn't expect much. But then I put some water on the suction cup. And then it held overnight. Perfect for the second test. I took it to the lake yesterday for about 5 hours and it performed exactly as I had hoped. It stayed exactly where I put it all day. And considering how many times I accidentally bumped it with my paddle, this was amazing. And then there was the time the tether grabbed hold of some floating debris and started to tow it. This suction cup was strong enough to pull a 4'x3" waterlogged tree branch without coming loose. Even if this wears out after a season, I will still be in love with it. And even if I have to buy it again next season, it will have been completely worth it. This is a solid product.

Strong suction cup. I went to put it on the glass and decided to move it slightly before I even clamped the suction cup down and it was tough to get back off. Found the nipple on the suction cup and even that was tough to get the suction released. I run it as it came with the the camera arm slightly interfering with the suction cup lever (for the shape of my windshield). You can switch the arm the other way to get a clear access to the lever, but for me it hangs down lower than I want. Video has absolutely no vibration. The ONLY thing I wish was different was the swing point on the camera mount at the end of the arm would rotate in a twisting left and right instead of a pendulum up and down so I could film off to the sides, but its designed that way so the arm doesn't have to come straight down and you can get the camera even higher. You trade infinite height adjustment for for twisting left or right. Very pleased with this mount.

Needed a mount for use with GoPro-style camera for autocross. Mount appears to be great, but I ended up not being able to use it. I'm required to have the mount tethered to the car for safety, and so choose this mount because it included a standard tether for a good price. After receiving the item, I found the pictured Goma drawstring bag and tether were not included. The mount did include a tether, but it's just a piece of string, not the one shown in the listing. I also noticed that the box is branded as Xshot, though the sticker on the back claims it's a GOMA Industries item (see pictures) Thinking I may have gotten the wrong item by mistake, I contacted Amazon, and a replacement was sent. I received the replacement today (a day earlier than Amazon estimated), only to find that yet again, I received an Xshot mount and that the pictured bag and tether were not included. I did a little digging and it appears the item I received is actually an Xshot item Compact Suction Mount for GoPro and All Other Cameras by XShot (XSCT) , not Goma Industries. Not sure if they merged, or what, but still, I didn't receive what is in this listing. I ended up asking for a refund. As I said earlier, the mount itself appears to be good quality and would have been exactly what I wanted had all of the accessories been included.

When I purchased this I was a little hesitant to use this product as most suction cups I've ever used in the past just sucked. After using this product and constantly checking it for the first 30 mins I knew it wasn't going anywhere without actually trying to take it off which was also difficult because of the suction. This is an awesome product, the name "Best go pro suction cup mount" is very accurate! Its suction is amazing. Used it on the freeway at about 70 mph, then went off roading, mounted it on the outside of my brother's Rubicon And it stayed for about 5 hours without ever feeling like it was going to come off. Overall great suction cup to trust your expensive go pro with, can mount it on the inside or outside. Its a bonus that it comes with a tether that I also used. If your looking for a suction cup for your go pro or any other action cam (with go pro attachment via screw in adapter, can be found on amazon) then don't hesitate to buy this!

The suction cup that actually provides surface suction is just 2.75", not 3". If you include the tab, then it is 3". Here's the MISLEADING part: Their product illustration shows in BIG, BOLD numbers that it is 3" (just the rubber part, excluding the tab). See the included screen capture I did from their product illustration. We purchased the product knowing that from their product illustration that it is 3" suction cup. The other product listed on Amazon that looks extremely similar to GOMA but with a different branding logo, shows that it is 2.75". The similarly looking product is also priced lower. With that information, we ended up buying the GOMA product and paid a little bit more because it said 3". MISLEADING AND DIRTY TACTIC to confuse customers. This item is going to be reported to Amazon and hopefully removed from their listings.
