I have a 1997 k1500 z71 . What shocks do you recommend in the front.

If you are using the 43163 on the rear of your 1997 Chevrolet K1500 Z71 to haul or tow, there are two good choices to match up with these on the front. The Max Control part number 77609 is a Monotube shock, and is similar to the shock that came on the Z71 from the factory. Ride and function will be very similar. This is the best choice for ultimate hauling and towing needs due to the largest piston size and highest gas force. The response will be quick and firm for the best handling while loaded. The Ultra Truck Shock part number G63818 is Gabriel's premium twin tube shock which features low pressure gas and the G force inertia valve which provides the most comfortable ride of any Gabriel shock while still providing great handling when loaded. Choose this shock if the vehicle is primarily driven unloaded and only occasionally loaded. Choose the Max Control if this is primarily a work vehicle, or if you prefer a sporty well controlled ride.
