This Shea butter is easy to melt and is smooth with no gritty texture. The color is ivory, so I added a bit of oils to tint it a little. There is no greasiness, and it absorbs well into skin and the hair shaft. It is highly effective in softening kinky curly hair and preventing matting. The quantity matches the description, and this amount lasts me almost a year. I melt a quarter of in the sun's heat and whipped with with a hand mixer; I added oils (castor, jojoba,argon, olive, rosemary, and sage) to thin it out and make it silky. I would not eat this, so I have no idea how it tastes. The smell is bland, but essential oils absorb well into it and transforms the scent. I especially like coating hair extension with it before attaching it to my hair to prevent breakage. Overall, this is a quality shea butter that lasts a long time. It is pricey, but you can stretch it by whipping it with oils.

Excellent quality. It has a mild distinct shea butter smell that’s to love. Even color, texture and consistency. Also comes in a big jar. I use it as diaper rash prevention cream on my kids and myself. It’s super moisturizing and melts on the skin. I will definitely be purchasing again.

I bought this for soap making and after adjusting the quantity, because too much the soap does go alittle on the greasy side. After recalculating the recipe, the soap is so creamy and moisturizing ! Alittle does go a long way! Will buy this product again.

Great shea butter. My kids hate the smell. I don’t mind it. It is so moisturizing it is very thick but after rolling your hands together for a few seconds, it does liquefy my skin feels great afterwards and my sun burns never lasts. This jar will last me a long time. I love this stuff!!

Very Nice Shea Butter!

I have purchased this product before, but in a smaller size. I love how moisturizing it is and how well it absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy residue.. I use it to make my own whipped body butter, so this time I bought it in a larger size. My skin is mature and very dry. After using it for only a few days I could tell a major difference in my skin. It felt much softer and not so dry. The only complaint I have, is I don't love the smell, but if you add enough essential oils it is not a big deal.
