Game Changer for Muscle Recovery!
I recently purchased the RumbleRoller Extra Firm Textured Muscle Foam Roller, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! As someone who frequently engages in fitness activities, I've tried several foam rollers in the past, but none have been as effective as this one. The first thing that stood out to me was its unique texture. The bumps and ridges are designed to mimic the hands of a massage therapist, which provides an incredible deep tissue massage. I found it to be particularly helpful for relieving muscle tension and soreness after intense workouts. The extra firm density offers just the right amount of pressure, making it perfect for those stubborn knots! What I love most is how versatile this roller is. It's perfect not only for my back but also works wonders on my legs, hips, and shoulders. The full-size design offers ample surface area, allowing for various rolling techniques and targeting different muscle groups effectively. Additionally, the durability of the RumbleRoller is impressive. It feels solid and well-made, unlike some cheaper models that tend to dent or lose shape after a few uses. I can already tell this roller will be a staple in my recovery routine for years to come. Overall, I highly recommend the RumbleRoller Extra Firm Textured Muscle Foam Roller to anyone serious about their fitness journey. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned athlete, this roller will significantly enhance your muscle recovery and performance. Truly a fantastic investment in your health and well-being!

This is the ticket for bigger folks, if the hard foam massage rollers don't work for you!
I first tried using a hard foam massage roller about two years ago. It did nothing for me. It didn't dig in. It didn't relieve any pain or tightness. I just felt like I was rolling around on a firm pillow. Waste of time. Recently, I was so tight, I was having trouble moving my hips and legs during some Olympic lifting. Another guy told me to try the version he had, which was made of a hard plastic tube and a thin, soft outer layer with ridges. It did a good job, and I finally understood what the hype was about. His was a narrower version of this with small lines, instead of bigger, fimer lugs. I decided to get the longer version, since I'm quite a bit taller (and wider) than him. Let me tell you, the nubs on this thing are NOT soft. They are flexible, but you will feel every one dig into your muscles. I'm 6'5", in the 270 range, and I use this after every hard workout. It freaking hurts. Some people like shiatsu and deep tissue massage. It is not my thing, and it can be really painful, when I use this. On the other hand, when I don't use it after really intense lifting sessions, I may not be able to move comfortably for 3-5 days. When I do use it, I'm a lot less sore, and only for a day or two. It makes a HUGE difference. It was never that I didn't think rolling would work. I just hadn't found a roller that would do the job for me. Well, this will get it done. You may cry a little, but it will get the job done!

Got Rid of My Pain - Rumbleroller Paid for Itself with One Use!
I love my big black, extra firm Rumbleroller! A few weeks ago, my lower back began hurting so badly that I could hardly walk. That, coupled with sciatica which I developed at the same time felt crippling. I work from home on my computer and rather than sit at my desk, I had been sitting on my couch with my laptop on my coffee table, which I would guess was the culprit for my pain. I was not able to get my lower back to crack for a couple of months, which I would guess, added to the pain and made sense. It used to be easy to just twist my back with one leg to the opposite side and then, POP. Since I wasn’t able to do this, I figured my muscles were super tight and it made sense that I was in terrible pain. After spending a visit with my massage therapist, I felt a little better for a couple of hours. I was determined to do whatever I had to do to get rid of the lower back pain and the sciatica and decided to start going to my massage therapist weekly. Someone suggested a roller for the sciatica, which got me doing some research and I discovered the Rumbleroller. It made perfect sense. I immediately ordered the black Rumbleroller for myself and the blue one for my husband as he suffers from back pain, but his is chronic. The day I received my Rumbleroller I got right to work rolling and massaging my muscles and the sciatic nerve. Within a few hours, I was black and blue. Later that night, I worked with the Rumbleroller some more and then for the next week I rolled on it several times a day regardless of pain level. When I hit trigger spots, I rolled harder and longer until the pain changed from shooting to localized which meant that toxins had been released and the muscle had loosened. My lower back is now pain free and my sciatica is 85% improved. This is a very worthwhile apparatus and very cheap when you consider a massage will run approximately $70 for one hour which you might do once a week. With the Rumbleroller, you can get just a good a massage as many times per day as you like and get relief much, much quicker.

... 31 inch extra firm black massage roller is a great training aid
The Rumblerolloer 31 inch extra firm black massage roller is a great training aid. I am glad I ordered this one. I already had a regular short foam roller and a Triggerpoint GRID roller. They are not a fraction as effective as my new Rumbleroller, which is the perfect intensity for me. I am not a big bodybuilder-type at only 190 lb. at six feet tall but I have been training seriously with weights since I am 16. (I am 55). But I have developed great strength and firm muscular development in my back and legs etc. and I need something like this or I don't feel much. Not that I have any problematic "knots" to treat with myofascial therapy, but I do like to take advantage of whatever recuperative aids I can, and regular use of massage is the best for anyone who follows a dedicated strength & muscle mass longevity/ fitness program. The "knobs" on the RR are great for getting into tighter muscles. All you have to do is get used to the different positions required to apply the massaging rolling treatments. I am so glad I got the longer roller also. It makes it a lot more convenient. Short rollers roll out of the way easily and need more to keep them in place. I highly recommend this firm black 31 inch Rumbleroller for anyone who wants to maximize their massages and who is even slightly serious about exercise, and helping recuperation of muscles or even soreness on a regular basis. In my estimation, the only people who would want to get the less firm version would be those who are super green newbies, or very sedentary-elderly or very soft or bony people. (but I truly doubt that they would even be shopping for something like this). But even then, you will quickly outgrow it and want and need the firmer one. That is, if you actually use it on a regular basis. The body adapts very fast to things like this, and you can always put less weight on the roller at the start if you are squeamish. I am also certified physical fitness specialist for the past 35 years with my own personal training facility and I am going to show this to all my clients. I may even give them as gifts to my intermediate and advanced trainees!

I love this! I take about 7
I love this! I take about 7, sometimes 8, gym classes a week and am otherwise pretty active: I walk and bike to run errands. This means that my body is under constant physical stress, in addition to whatever emotional mumbo jumbo is happening at the time, which can also affect your physiology and have indirect effects on things like muscle gain and weight loss. The rumbleroller helps me put pressure where it needs to go to ease up some of the physical stress and muscle knots. The trick is you have to go slow. I see a lot of guys at the gym just like rocking/humping this thing like crazy, but personally, you need to go super slow. The pain is good, and signifies pressure on a tense part of your body. I used to get massages once a month or so. I haven't been to a LMT since I bought this. It doesn't replace human touch and you do have to put some effort in, instead of just having someone work on you, but man. This thing works wonders, and it totally pays for itself by reducing the number of massages you might need. It's great to do while you're watching TV. You can really use this on most of body, you just need proper placement and pressure. If I were to complain, it's that the nubs aren't hard/long enough. I sometimes find myself wishing there could be more pressure applied to places like my hamstrings. I've tried all the postures I've found online (so far), but no luck. Maybe if I used it with extra weight somehow? This thing is my new best workout buddy. Highly recommended.

ALMOST as good as a deep tissue massage..
I love this thing! Originally I purchased the solid black foam roller the ones they use at the gyms.. loved it and then wondered if the regular cylinder can do this what about that medieval torture device(Rumble Roller)? Wow! This thing is fab for sore stiff muscles(even the everlasting knots) Went to get a deep tissue and yeah.. nothing compares to a full body deep tissue massage.. but this thing is the closest thing you'll get to a deep tissue without a human. A few things I've learned from experimenting on my family: It's not good for amateurs/ It's not good for really boney people(unless you work up to it)/It takes a little to get used to It IS good for muscular or meatier folks/can workout knots that have been a mainstay on you(best part) NOW I am at the point where I'm wondering what is next? I'd like something more dense and sturdier! So, my take is that if you find yourself aching all over from the gym, or have long term muscle knots and issues.. the rumble roller is your best friend. I Rumble Roll everyday if I can.. especially after a workout! Don't wait.. be good to your body, I got the big kahuna and it's totally worth it!

Works great, but pricey.
I'll go ahead and state the obvious - this thing is expensive. But it also works very well. It both massages and manipulates your spine a little. I find I use it most days when I get home from work. I experience some back pain. I visit a chiropractor approximately twice a month, which helps a lot. I've also had a deep tissue massage, which was excellent. But, as most people know, both of those services add up. The Rumbleroller offers two things which I think are very helpful. First, you can use it in your own home whenever you want. Second, you don't need anyone to help you use it. Both of those are huge advantages that you really don't have with chiropractic and massage services. Although the instructions don't call for it, I like to relax my back and roll on the Rumbleroller instead of keeping my back firm. First I lay on it flat and then I turn and roll on both sides. My back will pop sometimes, which tells me it is being pushed where it should be - you know, the natural curve and all. It sort of reminds me of the roller tables you see at chiropractic offices. They feel awesome! If you can swing the price, get this. It will help with back pain.

Love this extra firm rumble roller!
This is a life saver! I used to use a smooth firm foam roller for many years. When I switched to this one, I love it! Like others have identified, it hurts quite a bit when you use it. But this is the only roller that makes me feel like someone really worked hard to break down those knots embedded in my back and legs. Afterwards, there is a warm sensation which makes me feel more free. The difference is found in the knobs on the roller. They are like someone's strong fingers. I tried other similar rollers but the knobs are not firm enough to do the job over time. Rumbler has another firm roller which is blue. I was tempted to get that one instead of this extra firm black one. But I don't regret getting this one as I needed the firmness! If you are new to rollers or are quite sensitive, you might try out the blue rumbler or other smooth rollers before this extra firm one. (If you need a travel size roller, I recommend another brand which is 12" X 5". It's color is half blue, half black mixed, with a narrower center on the roller. More cost effective.) Otherwise, go for this one!
