I am very particular when choosing powder, as most perfume powders smell "musky" and old to me. Maja is not that powder. It has the scent of lavender, spice, citrus, and woods. This was my first time purchasing it from Amazon after I read good reviews. Another reviewer suggested it reminded her of a courtesan's boudoir.... And that's exactly what comes to my mind as well. Think Moulin Rouge! I absolutely love it! It's silky and light in texture, and the seductive scent lasts all day. I use a perfume that has notes of tonka bean, vanilla, and patchouli, and this complements the scent nicely. I punch holes in a circular pattern (about the size of a half dollar), in the center of the protective paper. Use after a bath, and after you've applied lotion. I'm a cosmetologist and I frequently review this as a "Must Have" beauty product on Pinterest and FBFavourite uses of this powder that upgrades my beauty routine by 💯1. It absorbs moisture due to sweat or humidity, keeping my skin soft to the touch2. It protects your feet and shoes... I wear heels (with nylons).. so not only does using this keep my heels smelling nice, but it keeps my feet from feeling cold and clammy in the winter OR from sliding around in my heels if I've applied too much lotion.3. It gives your signature scent even more staying power!4. Actually, it makes your whole life (gym bag, suitcase, laundry basket, sheets, car...) smell better. I dust down my sheets when I make my bed in the morning.5. I have used this as a dry shampoo. And because it's a light talc, it worked better than most dry shampoos!

I ordered this powder based on the positive reviews, and was not disappointed. I gave this 4 stars only because I wish it came in a shaker can instead of a box with a powder puff. I "get" that the cardboard container might be more appealing to some, but a can would make application much easier.
