Is this the same squishy foam as the Airex balance pad?

The differences in material (foam) in this specific product is that the Airex Balance Pad contains yielding foam that is made with the familiar soft Airex foam material with a smooth surface. The yielding foam allows a body challenged to maintain balance, and stabilizes the joints. On the other hand, the ProSource Exercise Balance Pad contains a high density foam that gives perfect support. Would this be considered hard? I'm looking to use it for my tailbone when working out...

I wouldn't consider them hard at all. One of the two exercises I do for balance is to stand on one of them, heel to toe, for one minute. The give of the foam makes this much more difficult that it sounds.

Is there a guarantee?

Not sure what you would need a guarantee for as this product is put on a flat hard surface as you learn to balance yourself. It’s not flimsy and is rather dense. You will naturally be stepping in different areas of it. The foam does bounce back right away if that is what you were wondering. Balance is one of the most important things we can do to strengthen our core and prevent falls. Not easy though. Best to you. Peace and grace

Pilates mat use

It's slightly softer than yoga pads, which is a lot better when you are sitting on it or resting your head on them. Most pads are to hard, but this one has just the right softness ,and give you need for pilates.
