I don't have any problem with the nijer seeds themselves but I do have a problem with the fact that the plastic bag that the seeds were in was ripped causing the seeds to spill out into the shipping box. About half of the bag ended up in the box, quite a few of them escaped out of the bottom of the box onto the porch and onto the floor. It's likely that the chipmunks and squirrels found and ate these seeds that I swept off the porch but that was not my intent. I'm disappointed that I lost so much of these seeds as they aren't cheap.

When I first started using Nyjer seed, I used a high end brand and saw goldfinches galore at my feeder. They couldn’t get enough of it. When I tried this brand, the goldfinches disappeared, but I started getting plenty of chickadees and house finches. Strange that the goldfinches seem to not enjoy it as much….

Very fresh seed. Birds love it, they were at the feeder within minutes of me filling the station.
