Can I Use This Once It's Expired?

The product does have a 4 year shelf life and should be refrigerated after it is opened. There is the possibility that the product may not perform as well in a recipe if it is beyond the best if used by date.

does this have to be refrigerated? other brands say they don't.

I don't really know if it needs to be refrigerated, but to prevent mealy bugs I put all products like this (including flour & cornmeal) in the refrigerator. I live in the South and those bugs can be pretty bad. As for the SACO Buttermilk itself, I absolutely LOVE this product and use if often when making things like cornbread. It will literally keep for years in the refrigerator. So much easier (and a lot more economical) than purchasing liquid buttermilk and then only using a small amount and having to toss the rest of it. Very convenient and excellent product that I've used for years.

Just wondering what is it blended with

The ingredients are a cultured blend of sweet cream churned buttermilk, sweet dairy whey, and lactic acid.

Does anyone know a weight conversion? say i need 90g of buttermilk how many g of powder and g of water would i need? no desire for cup/spoon nonsense
