Bought these as a gift for my musician brother and he loves them. He says they good quality and work well giving him a home recording studio Booth set up

I had already sound deadens the area around my mic, so I’m not getting the full benefit of this device. It does work, though, and I can’t fault it - so I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Reading some of the reviews about this product not blocking out certain described noises, it is important to know what types of sound this will protect against. Acoustic foam is of the lowest ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) due to its softer composition. It is typically used to reduce higher frequencies (hissing) from passing air particles. Therefore if you were using this to shield against your Laptop or PC fan, it will absorb the hissing noise from the faster air movement, but not the sound from the speed of the blades passing through the air. This means it should not be expected to absorb or reduce the higher-mid, mid or lower frequency noises.Acoustic foam with a higher ILD (firmer foam) would be needed to cut out the mid-range noise. Lower frequencies are best treated with a room sound shielding approach. Make sure you are buying this as the correct type of sound shielding.We tested this with a Focusrite Scarlett Studio CM25, and a Rode NT2A Microphone and monitored the results using several spectrographs. In short it had an impact on higher frequencies but it did not completely absorb them. When we tested the mics with and without the shield there was a noticeable difference in atmospheric background noise, but we needed the graphs to see if there was a difference. Using the "naked ear" it was hard to tell. To me this suggests it meets the description of the product "legally" but not enough to be a worthy competitor for this product type. The fact it is rating the "Thickness" and not the "density" and firmness suggests the impact of this product has not been fully understood.So far the Nordell Audio "Premium Folding Soundproofing Vocal Booth" has better design and a much greater effect for the extra £15 / $18.That being said, this did have an effect reducing - but not completely absorbing higher-frequency sound.

I work somewhere where we use acoustic foam in our everyday jobs, it is a hard material with sound deadening qualities. This foam is NOT that foam. It barley makes any difference when tested today. DO NOT BUY IT. I have sent mine back for a refund.

Almost not a shard of instruction, it could be dangerous to set it up with a condenser mic alone, but it does his job

The product only comes by itself and with one washer, nothing more. It is a poor purchase with the outcome. Only good if you need a new isolation shield, doesn’t even come with the parts to connect it up with your microphone stand.

Il faudrait mieux l'utiliser avec un micro à pied, il était pas adapté au mien celui ci mais à part ça il isole très bien

Acquistato per mio figlio, ma non ancora montato su asta, è comunque un buon prodotto per qualità materiali ed efficacia... consigliato per i coinvolti nel settore....

Un prodotto che talvolta aiuta ad ottenere registrazioni con una qualità in più. Unica pecca è che dalla foto sembra più grande, invece dal vivo non è così coprente, infatti microfoni da studio a diaframma largo tendono ad entrare proprio al limite e quindi non si hanno molte possibilità di installazione.

Je chante et l'enregistre depuis un moment avec un micro electro-statique et n'ai jamais vraiment porté attention à la diffusion du son de ma voix. J'ai vu une nette différence de présence et rondeur du son avec ce bouclier d'isolation de micro. Je le conseille pour tout home studio. Le bouclier est extrêmement t bien fini et lourd (ne fait pas gadget) la mousse est dense et d'excellente tenue. Le bouclier est composé de 3 panneaux pliables facilitant le transport. Content de mon achat.
