Fun game for a party night!
A great game to play, even with family. Since I tried it, it's become one of my favorites, and the book-like box design is fantastic. Rounds usually last 20 to 40 minutes. The special edition with the coins and pieces is very high quality. Highly recommended. I've even already ordered another game from the creator.

Fast fun Social deduction game
This game is similar to things like Avalon (Resistance), deception, werewolf etc. We love playing social deduction games. The more players the better. I recommend 6 or more. It's not as good as Avalon but about on par with deception although game play is very different than both. I would say the dialogue amongst players is somewhere between Avalon (loud, raucous, and sometimes yelling) and Deception (more calm, thinky, rationalization, analysis). Draw backs can include being killed early and then you're out of the game so you could be sitting by watching for 20-30 mins. There are ways to mitigate this in the rules though. And it can be quite fun to watch people play from the sidelines when you know if they are a witch or not. There is quite a bit of luck involved with cards drawn, your tryal cards flipped over by other players (basically how many lives you have), and witches killing players in the night. Overall it's a fun game and both groups I've played with (about 8 plays total) wanted to play again then again. If you enjoy social deduction games, then you will like this game. By the end of the game, you will be asking/accusing everyone "Are you a witch?!" or "You're a witch!!". Hats off to the creators of these games.

Fun
If you're looking for a card game that brings a thrilling blend of strategy, deception, and good old-fashioned fun to your family game night, look no further than Salem 1692. This game truly shines as an engaging experience for players of all ages, offering a fantastic opportunity for some lighthearted sleuthing and accusation. What makes Salem 1692 so captivating is its immersive theme, drawing you right into the tense atmosphere of the infamous witch trials. The roles are dynamic, and the gameplay keeps everyone on their toes, constantly guessing who's innocent and who's secretly plotting mischief. It’s a game that encourages lively discussion, pointed fingers, and plenty of "Aha!" moments when a hidden identity is finally revealed. My family and I have had some truly memorable, laughter-filled evenings playing this one – it genuinely hits the mark as a "fun game for the whole family." However, I do have one notable piece of feedback: the directions can be a little confusing and hard to understand at first. While the core concept of the game is straightforward, some of the nuances and specific rules might require a few re-reads and perhaps a quick online search for clarification during your initial playthroughs. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but be prepared to dedicate a bit of time to understanding the rulebook before jumping in, especially with younger players. A clear, concise tutorial video online might be a good companion for your first session. Despite this minor hurdle, the payoff is absolutely worth it. Once you've got the rules down, Salem 1692 becomes an incredibly rewarding experience. It's a game that fosters strategic thinking, encourages playful deception, and provides endless entertainment. If your family enjoys games with a strong theme, social deduction, and a touch of mystery, then Salem 1692 is a highly recommended addition to your collection. Just be patient with the initial learning curve, and you'll be well on your way to hours of witch-hunting (or defending) fun!

Witches get stitches!
I’ve owned this game for awhile and I finally played it. It’s a social deduction game similar to Mafia and plays well with larger groups. The directions are okay. I suggest looking up gameplay on YouTube. You need a moderator to run the game, but if everyone is playing, I suggest using the direction manual. There is also an APP to help moderate a game, but eventually you should be able to pick up the moderating on your own after a few plays. I love the creativity with the box it comes in. It really fits well in a bookshelf. This game is actually part of a collection of three games. The other games are Deadwood and Tortuga and both are stored in a “book”. My only con about this game is the back of some the cards because the colors are very similar and gathering the cards to shuffle can be a little tedious. I really love some of the mechanics of this game like throwing accusation cards at each other and trying to birth new witches with the Conspiracy card.

We love this family game. Better with a larger number of players. Takes a game or two to understand but worth it when you get into it.

A friend recommended this game and we love it! It’s similar to the game “mafia” and so much fun! We use the app for the narrator. Highly recommend this game, for big and small groups!

¡Me encanta!
