While not new to model railroading I have not successfully built many structures. After purchasing "Basic Scenery for Model Railroads" and enjoying it so much I purchased this book to help me get started with structures. I am not disappointed. This book has been great to show what to do, and not do, as I develop my talents with buildings for my railroad. All I need now is to gain more experience. I highly recommend this book.

Fantastic reference; used many of the techniques for the first time on my most recent project, and already my results on this model are way beyond previous attempts. Highly recommended!

Has given me some good tips for further model making and has good information on different manufacturers.This would be a good reference source for new to reasonably experienced railway modellers or wargamers.

The author takes you from the basics to more advanced techniques in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I have learned much about the various tools and techniques that are not all that difficult to use once they are explained properly and the author explains things very well.

I have been needing this book and some more like it. I was glad to have found and ordered it.

Both books have been extremely helpful with tips and ideas which have allowed me to make better structures for my layout!

I enjoyed this book even though it was kind of basic. I was just starting out HO model railroading myself and thought this was an excellent starter book!

I absolutely love this book, I got really inspirred and I find it very easy to work from. Great pictures showing what to do next - I recommend it for anyone who would like to build structures from scratch.

The book was delivered quickly and contains some good tips for advanced users as well as plenty of information for modelers not used to making their own structures

There is a lot of useful information in this book for adding to your railroad. It is a basic structure book and contains a lot of stuff to get you started. I especially found the section on paint colours and roof details quite helpful. The painting techniques were adequate. The kitbashing section was very basic--but it is a basic book after all.If you've already had a lot of experience putting together some kits, you probably don't need this book. If you're a first timer or have been somewhat confounded, then take a look at it.

One of the first books i purchased when starting out in model railroading. Good information on basic construction techniques and what tools will help make things go smoothly. I built one structure prior to this book which turned out good but after reading the book and seeing some of the tools used, i immediately book a right angle clamp and a sand it to square edges and i am glad i did. Made the next structures much easy to assemble.
