Melissa & Doug Take-Along Town Wooden Tabletop Play Set

Oh wow, where to start with the Melissa & Doug Wooden Take-Along Tabletop Town? This toy is a game-changer for playtime in our house. First off, the quality is exactly what you'd expect from Melissa & Doug—solid, sturdy wood, no fear of it breaking anytime soon. The 18 pieces are a mix of buildings, vehicles, and even a little bridge, which means there's a ton of variety to keep my kiddo's imagination running wild. We've had countless rescue missions and road trips across the living room—and that's all before lunchtime! I love the size of it, too. At 15.4 x 11.0 x 2.6 inches, it's perfect for small hands and easy enough to pack up and take on the go. Whether we're off to grandma's or just dinner at a friend's place, it keeps my little one entertained and quiet, which is a total win. The fact that it's a tabletop set-up means no more bending over to pick up pieces from the floor (my back thanks you, Melissa & Doug). And adding to that, the setup and pack-down are super simple—everything fits back into the play board which doubles as a storage case. Honestly, it's a breath of fresh air to find a toy that doesn't involve screens or annoying sound effects. It's all about creative play, problem-solving, and fine motor skill development. And the rescue vehicles? Total hit. My kid feels like a hero every play session, and it's wonderful to watch. Seriously, if you're on the fence about getting this for your child, I'd say go for it. The Melissa & Doug Take-Along Tabletop Town has been an awesome addition to our toy collection, and I have a feeling it's going to be well-loved for years to come.

A great toy! Great grandson plays with it every day. He brings everyone to his table snd excitedly tells them about it. He particularly loves the helicopter. He is currently very interested in emergency vehicles, the sounds and what they do. He is almost 3 in one month. He watches a lot if blippy videos of emergency vehicles so this was perfect. The buildings do fall over easily. I put them outside of the box area and he seems just as happy. The grooves allow easy driving for him. It is such a plus tgat it comes with the storage box.

OK this is such a great quality of toy for the price. My daughter has spent hours playing with this.! Gets her little imagination going! The magnets are good they do what they are supposed to do! It all connects together really well! There is a a good range in variety pieces included in the box! One of my daughter’s all-time favorites! She is 2 1/2 This is one of her immediate go to! We got her this for Christmas and I think it was her favorite toys. She opened that morning.

Bought this as a Xmas present for my 3 year old nephew. It was a hit! He is obsessed with cars and rolling things around. He played with this for hours, and my brother and sister in law were happy with it because it is very sturdy and well made, and doesn’t require batteries. :-) I think it would be a good toy for kids to take on a trip because all the pieces fit inside the wooden board, which doubles as a case.

Such a high quality toy! So much fun for a 3 year old and something that can be taken along to play with while waiting for older siblings classes. Nice thick, well made pieces, and strong magnets for the carriage and horses. Perfect for a princess loving child. Enhances imagination too!

I bought this for my three year old daughter and she loves playing with it. Everything is high quality and it’s easy for her to play with. The clasp on the box opens very easily and sometimes we find that it opens on its own in the toy box.

I got this for my 3 year old grandson and he plays with them for hours. He loves to arrange the items in different ways to create his town. He loves to run the train on its track. This is very easy to bring with you for your child to play with! Everything fits into one case for easy carrying.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old grandson. He is delighted with it, especially the 'helichopper'. All the pieces are wooden, which I like, and stand up by themselves - no 'wonky' bottoms. There are actually too many pieces to set up everything on the board, but he builds extensions of his town on the floor around him. Everything fits back into the box and he can carry it around like a briefcase. The briefcase/town lies flat and the roads/details match up well. He is just getting into imaginative play so this was a great gift for him. We received the toy only a few days after ordering it and it was in perfect condition. The price was excellent for the quality of toy. This will be around for a long time. I would recommend this to anyone.

My toddler is OBSESSED with this toy! It’s also easy storage which is nice!

Perfect ! It is a gift for a three year old & I am pleased as a retired kindergarten teacher to find it is age appropriate and beyond my expectations! Very happy with my purchase.

Muy lindo y a mi sobrino le encanto!!

Please check the weight of the item before buying it - it is heavy! So, don't expect your child to be carrying it (and try not to drop it on your foot). That said, it looks well made and the 3yo nephew enjoyed playing with it. The outside of the box is the "dress set". The inside of the box is where you keep all the pieces.

Purchased this toy for a three-year-old, and she absolutely loved it! Can play with it for long periods of time and be fully entertained. Love that you can pack it up and take it with you in the car or even a grandma‘s house. Very interactive simple yet fun.
