Bought a number of these as gifts for naturalist class. Impressed with how sturdy and well made they are, seem like a quality product. Opens and closes smoothly. Lens is clear and lighting really helps. I appreciated that there's a little hole on it so you can put it on your key ring, but adding a loop would be better so you can fasten it to backpack or elsewhere. I can see that these would be really easy to lose!

This is a large, heavy tool and absolutely works incredibly well. I’m impressed and I am not easily impressed. The magnification is fantastic, the lights are very helpful and it’s fits well in my hand. This was a great value for the price.

The second one I got worked way better because the lights worked my husband and I had gone to Eastern Washington and picked up a bunch of really unusual rocks and crystals in them and so I couldn’t see the crystals for a while so I bought one of these and there’s a whole New World in these rocks to be seen and it’s amazing and the second one I got the lights worked and now I can see what I’m looking at and is gorgeous I this thing opened a whole new world for me rocks are no longer boring it’s not just for jewelry

Heavy, larger than expected, good quality lens, lights are very good. I did have a couple of issues however, The case appeared to be broken and was falling apart when I got it. But the clear plastic lid insert was not snapped in place, it would not snap shut until I noticed the pin on the hinge was not in properly. After fiddling with it for a while I managed to reassemble it. The magnifier itself needed the screws tightened. All that said the end result is a very nice lighted magnifier. Hold it close to your eye for a great overall magnified image or back off in distance from the eye for a very high magnification. It is very usable. While at first I thought I would need to return it, close inspection showed it just needed some rework. Well worth the price.

It works. 40x is quite a bit of magnification for such a small spherical lens. You do get a lot of distortion around the edge and need to bring the lens very close (nearly touching in some cases to see what you're looking at. With no directional control of the LEDs, they kind of spill everywhere, which is kind of good, so they light up whatever you're are nearly touching to look at without distortion, but that close, the thing you're looking at can block the light in some cases. Can't speak to the quality of the UV light. Thing is built thick and heavy though. Nice satin finish. The one I received came with a broken scratched up bottom half of the case, which contains the opening mechanism. The lens of the loop is also scratched up a bit, and the screws on which the lens rotates feel a bit tight in some positions, and bit loose in others. Hinge is also very squeaky. Your product may vary. I am beyond sick of dealing with Amazon customer service with the recent state of the world and them being overwhelmed so I'm just dealing with it. You get what you pay for, I guess. 4 stars if I didn't receive a damaged product. 5 if there were better light control and a less spherical lens. (coming from a lens snob with one degree in cinematography).

This is a wonderful item. I didn’t realize it had a regular and black light installed. Easy to use and store. Little bit heavy to hold but highly recommends

Good build quality and excellent magnification. The lens are clear with low distortion. The led provides good illumination (both blueish and bright white).

Durability is Good. Size is good Magnification good but need to adjust for few sec for better view Weight is good For ring like object of something written inside the ring it's hard to put inside that Overall good product
