National Geographic Kids Almanac 2020

I wanted to take one star off because of the delivery issue. My books were shoved one into another which caused the pages to wrinkle. However, the Almanac is amazing, I'm posting pictures for you, so you can see it too. It's softcover, nice quality paper, with bright beautiful detailed photos.My kids love it, they ask for it every year. Great addition to their at home library. This book covers a wide range of subjects (see the contents). Amazing pictures, full of fun facts. It has science, crafts, maps, history, space and earth facts, culture connection stories, cool technology examples, wonders of nature, quiz whiz questions, games, jokes and even a challenge. Read it with your kids, read it without them - it's really good.

Randomly purchased the 2021 version at our local, large chain grocery store, and it kept my daughter occupied for an entire week straight, so I was happy to find the previous year's version available. It is thick and chock full of interesting and educational nuggets - she discovers something new every time she picks it up despite having already read it cover to cover. Easily digestible and perfect for curious kids who love information and enjoy reading.

This is perfect for kiddos who love learning and sharing new facts! The high-quality photos that National Geographic is known for make every page pop! I think this would be perfect for ages 8-12. Any younger may have trouble with not only the words but some small fonts as well, but the photos alone could definitely inspire and intrigue them!

WE gave this to our 6 year old reluctant reader great nephew. He was not ready for the level of reading needed to get the most from this book. However, the illustrations do indeed engage him, so score! We hope it encourages him to read more, and learn more.

I buy one of these for my 4th grade classroom every year. There's a ton of interesting facts and topics in here, and they're presented with vivid photos and captions. Students "fight" over who gets to read it next!

My son is a vivid reader and is always awaiting for the next Almanac from NG. This Almanac 2020 is an amazing book with lots of good information and amazing pictures. I will certainly recommend it to all kids.

My now 6 year old daughter absolutely loves it when I come home with the latest NG Kids Almanac... she’ll be asking for months on end when will the next one arrive!! Could not recommend these more highly!! Full of fantastic facts, quizzes etc! Great!

日本にも「朝日ジュニア学習年鑑」というものがあるが、子ども向け年鑑の英語版と思って貰えれば良い。 子供向けと侮るなかれ、これが英語学習には最適なのだ。 子供が読むことを前提としているので難しい用語も分かりやすく説明してある。 英語学習には多読が良いと言われるが大人向けの原書は学習者にはハードルが高いことがある。 その点、この年鑑は気楽に読む事が出来る。

Great opener to the world of amazing animal facts for kids. NatGeo this edition has revised and included a lot of new contact. Well that’s a huge plus considering it takes up to 3 years to bring out one edition.

This was purchased for a neighbour's 6 year old who is a voracious reader. A painless and fun way to learn. Recommend it highly and it is timely during the Pandemic to teach and entertain school kids.
