After reading the good reviews for these knives, I felt confident that my husband would finally be pleased with a steak knife. He collects pocket knives and quality is extremely important to him. When the steak knives arrived, we were blown away by the fine quality of both the knives and the packaging. These knives are well balanced, smooth, beautiful, and very sharp. When he asked for steak for dinner, all we had in the freezer was a cheap chuck steak I was going to make pot roast with. This knife cut through it like butter. We will be purchasing other knives from this set. I cannot wait to use them in the kitchen. We both highly recommend these steak knives. They come with sleeves that feel like sheaths so they store safely. We will not be putting them in the dishwasher.

Not a bad set of steak knives for the money...not bad at all. Overall appearance is quite nice, with the pakka wood handles coming fairly close to matching my Shun Premier knives...without the premier price. On the down side, the fit and finish could be better. The finish of the scales and rivets is uneven and the tang stands slightly proud of the scales. They aren't unpleasant to hold but I can definitely feel it. But they balance nicely in the hand, look good, and cut well. Too early to say anything about durability.

First of all, it comes in a nice box and each knife had its own cover. Also, the knives are very beautiful. I made dinner and used them for the first time as our steak knives. Everybody loved the feel of the handle and yes, they are very sharp. I only ordered one set and have decided to order another set to make my steak knives a total of 8. I am impressed with this young company. Keep up the good work! I highly recommend!

The presentation box the knives arrive in is beautiful. The blades themselves are very nice. but just like some other reviewers have mentioned the Tang and rivets were not sanded down smooth to the pakkawood Scales or (grips). The edge of the metal is slightly proud of the wood on the Scales leaving a slight sharp edge along the top of the handle and on the edge of some of the rivets. Frankly, I expected a little better finishing work at this price point. It's possible I got a set made on a Friday, but another reviewer said they returned their first set and the second set we're no better. If the seller sees this review and would like to send me a replacement set I will update this post concerning the quality of the new set.

Everything about these knives represents quality -- their appearance, razor sharpness, and feeling of balance in one's hand. I expect that they will serve us well for a long time!

Although my previous review of the Kessaku carving knife was rated high, these steak knives miss the mark. Fit and finish is terrible. It appears that the scales were shaped to small and the metal edges of the handles are sharp and not relieved, they feel sharp in the hand. Kinda uncomfortable. They look great feel like crap, wouldn’t recommend these at all.

An excellent bargain for nice looking everyday use steak knives. Nothing that would keep me from a 5* rating except the slightly mis matched metal tang (the handle end) to the very nice grips, nothing sloppy or random, but these two mating surfaces should be seamless and flush...the tang raises a consistent 1.5mm above the scales (handles). Nice gift box, each blade has a nice plastic sheath for storage. I would recommend them in this price range.
