I use these indoors and tight spaces. It has saved me from crashing when bumping walls etc. It dorks with collision avoidance. It does take extra battery power to fly with the guards in place. So your flight time is shorter.

I bought these after crashing my drone not once, but twice, after running into trees that the obstacle detection didn't detect, presumably because there were no leaves on the branches. They're sturdy, and installing them is pretty straightforward. They don't impact stability or maneuverability. They're not foolproof, of course, so you still need to be careful, but it's a good backstop against situations were obstacle detection doesn't.

all right, for those of you who are investigating the amount of money that you invest into stepping up to 812 to $1,600 mavic Pro or Maverick line drone at that price. I do highly recommend these blade guards for first-time Flyers on a drone such as the Maverick Pro 2 or the Pro 2 Zoom. However after so many flight hours and practice with a drone such as this, I highly recommend that you remove the blade guards once so many hours of flight time has been accomplished and you're ready to move further up and further out. And the reasoning behind us I found, is the blade guards create too much drag for the speed that you're trying to attempt to reach even in racing mode. Even in racing mode the drag is so great that you will probably only reach speeds up to 20 maybe 20 to miles per hour with very little wind. And realistically or unnecessary at Heights of 200 feet or greater and differences of two or more miles away. Because of the drag causing low air speed it takes much more of a toll on the battery life as well during flight time your battery strength is basically two-thirds of the life during one flight as it would be without the blade guards. when you are flying from 25 to 75 or even a hundred see in the air these are recommended I think when you fly around certain obstacles that may even be undetected by the proximity sensors built into the Drone. Such objects as found include trees mostly and maybe some other objects at the drones proximity sensors just can't pick up in time or even at all so that in any case such as these, the blade guards would definitely be a benefit flying near any such objects that the sensors cannot pick up to further help protect any kind of a strike against certain objects to protect the blades and the rest of the Drone and also help to attach it to whatever it may be striking against such as tree branches to help hold it in the place and prevent a drop from the Drone falling to the ground and completely disabling a drone to the point of major repairs.

Without the protectors, just a tiny bump into a wall will damage your drone. With, it'll smoothly bump off the wall and it won't even ruin the shot. DO NOT fly your drone without these. They will stop virtually all crashes.

As a rookie drone flyer I was hesitant to fly my first drone, a very expensive Christmas gift, without some protection for, and from, the propellers. The guards fit the bill perfectly and are easy to attach and remove as needed. I can't discern any change in flight characteristics whether they are installed or off.

These are great when learning or attempting to fly at a venue or indoors. Once you cut your fingers or tap something with the props you will wish you had these. Worthy investment.

Bought this to add some comfort learning an expensive drone. Nice and sturdy. But it does add weight, and interferes with side sensors. It installs easily so can remove them outdoors and put them on should I decide to risk indoor flight waiting for spring.

Work as advertised. I also like to attach them to my Mavic Pro 2 because they increase visibility at higher altitudes.

Easy to assemble. Looks that it will do the function of hitting forward object and protect props. The mavic 2 Pro looks much larger with guards attatched. The max speed is reduced for 50%. Max attack angle in now 18 degrees. For filming in woods and around obstacles this is the right gear.
