Having the flat side makes it so much easier to work with. Husband loves it for sushi nights.

Quality sushi mat. I use it often, and it is still in great condition. No issues with unraveling or wear and tear. Serves it's purpose well, which is to taper and shape nori, rice, and assorted other ingredients into perfect sushi. I will be purchasing some of these mats as holiday gifts for friends and family.

I was pleasantly surprised to also have gotten the spoon along with the mat! The mat is easy to use and I'm happy to have one.

Very nice! I really like the green color as opposed to the regular tan, but this mat is flat side and gives nice control and options in forming your sushi. Well made too!

I am new to sushi, so I have no personal comparison to make, but know what I like about this item. I read over several descriptions before settling on this roller. What seemed a good idea to me was the half round configuration, which really does seem to work really well. The size was to me a perfect fit for the nori I was using. Also, you can't complain about the price; all in all a good buy.

Used this to make a bunch of sushi for a potluck. I failed to roll them but it definitely wasn't the fault of this mat. Making sushi is fun, will definitely keep using this. Be sure to wrap it in saran wrap though - it's super hard to clean off the stuff between the sticks

its easy...lol becasue I never used one before. But i liked it after a while of practice!
