I picked this set up for my wife for Christmas. This is a very high-end starter set that my wife has enjoyed every weekend. The color variety is great for someone that wants to try Polychromos. She has no problem with sharpening, drawing, shading, and has never had a pencil break on her.

I have tried many different brands but the Faber Castell polychromos are great, they are soft, colorful and easy to blend, the point doesn’t break when sharpening. Something I appreciate is that it comes with a metal sharpener and the graphite pencils are of great quality compared to other brands, the box is made out of cardboard but can be used to keep the colors there or for something else.

This was a gift for my brother who's an artist and does mainly portrait type drawings and some landscaping. He has always used the Prisma pencils but I wanted to give him something different to try and he loves these pencils. He's glad I made him try something different.

They are harder to lay down color, tough on hands. Not sure if I’ll complete the set

I love the size of these pencils and how the color lays down. The only thing I could come up with as far dislikes is the cost of the pencils.

I've always wanted Polychromos, and now that I finally have them, I can say the quality is amazing. Would get a bigger pack next time.

I bought this set to try the Polychromos, I own the Prismacolor 150. I used the Daler Rowney 135lb/220gsm smooth paper. I am very pleased with the quality that I ordered the 120 pc set recently. Very nice colour pencils.

In search of the perfect pencils I’ve now tried prismacolour, kalour, and many others. I’ve decided these are the best yet. I’ve used them alongside each other and these are standout favourites. The pencils themselves are buttery. They blend beautifully and make shading so easy. The quality of that pencils is well worth the money. The main reason I prefer these to prismacolour is because these have a more dense appearance even when lightly used whereas these prismacolour is more ‘grainy’. Also, these don’t need sharpening as often as the prismacolour as the leads aren’t quite as soft. Prismacolour feel like they break more often and don’t sharpen as well. These are versatile pencils, and although they’re on the pricey side they’re an investment in my opinion. I will continue to use these and hopefully in time be able to afford the biggest collection they do.
