Can this be used without the strainer, so as to have ALL the pulp in the juice?

yes, it can. I use it that way always as I think it is a complete waste to discard all that wonderful pulp. The only time that I use the strainer is when I’m juicing lemons to make lemonade in which case I don’t like the seeds and stuff to be in the lemonade. Just enough pulp get through the strainer with lemons to make the lemonade great. Great juicer.

My old lemon squeezer died on me in the middle of fulfilling lemonade orders. I end up squeezing lemons with my hands to meet my commitment for customers. I not only order 1 but 2. juicers. Yes cups are included with order.

can you use his for grapefruits?

I would not think you could - not unless the grapefruit was very small. I would not recommend trying it with anything larger than an orange.
