These holders are brilliant! You can mount them on almost any surface in any position. I originally bought them for a different shelf, but I was surprised to find they fit perfectly almost anywhere. Super versatile and very sturdy.

Works as advertised, does what it is supposed to do. Not as ungainly as the alligator one. Some people have complained that the "fingers" are too long and "twang" the strings when you put the instrument in or take it out. The fingers are stiff rubber, cutting 3/8" of an inch off of each one with sturdy scissors cured the problem.

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE. I am giving it 4 stars because I saw lots of information about what it is. I didn't see anything telling me not to use it as a hanger. This is NOT a guitar hanger. DO NOT use it to support the full weight of the guitar. Other than that, it works as the videos show. I didn’t watch the videos and made the purchase assuming that it could be clamped to my bookshelf to hang my guitar from. I was wrong. It's actually really good for what it's for.

I like this better than the rubber Planet Waves guitar rest, which I also have. This one does a better job keeping your guitar from falling off to the side. Moving the body of the guitar slightly does not have a tendency to move the neck. In fact, the body of the guitar can sit slightly off to the side and still be held securely in place. I have mine attached to the lip of an end table next to the chair where I like to play. The screw clamp is small and not extremely heavy duty, but it is sturdy enough to resist being dislodged inadvertently. You should be able to attach the clamp to any lip with about 1/2-3/4" of material. The yoke where the neck of the guitar sits is rubber coated and should not mar the neck's finish. The prongs of the yoke have a tendency to pluck the strings a bit when you remove the guitar, so best mute your amp beforehand. The prongs close up tight enough that the guitar is not likely to fall out by accident. I will probably pick up another but I think it is a bit overpriced. 15-20 dollars would be more reasonable. Still, if it keeps you from breaking the neck of an expensive guitar, then no doubt the cost will be worthwhile.

It is really handy to be able to place this guitar rest just about anywhere you need it. The rest is very sturdy and locks onto a table top tightly. The flexible fingers that hold the neck into the rest are not very strong. A small child or pet could easily knock the guitar out of the rest. A close look at the design revealed a small hole and a notch intended for a locking strap (not supplied or available). A quick fix was to push a large rubber band half way through the hole and slip the two lose ends over the notch, securely locking the neck in place. I like this rest so much that I bought another one for a friend.

Doesn't work for the application I need. It seems nobody in this industry makes a unit like this specifically designed to fit the routed contours of a coffee table. Not D'Adarrio's fault, but i feel duped to a degree. This unit was advertised as being able to fit my needs for a guitar stand... that is obviously wrong. Bottom flange is too small to grip much of anything other than the edge of a cabinet. BTW are now outlawed in my state.. silent stages only here.. so I need a solution that doesnt rely on an amp cabinet. I need something that csn clap onto dsmn near anything and keep my guitar safe. I doubt you make that.

Pretty good for what it is, I use it for a bass guitar and the little flexible rubber arms that hold the neck in the cradle kept snagging my bass strings. I took my side snips that I use when restringing and trimmed about 1/2" off of each one and now it is perfect!

Eficiente

This is a neat little item that's light and portable, and that screws on vertically or horizontally. It's quick and easy to attach, and holds my guitar securely in place. Although bought for when I was travelling, I find myself constantly using it at home. So nice to keep my guitar within easy reach - I can just grab it when I want to play something, rather than having to trek to the guitar stand in another room. I hesitated to buy this dock because of the price, but I'm glad I did as I use it much more than expected 😊
