Hi, fast delivery. just wondered what the paw icon and label stating 'not tested on animals' was all about?

Animal testing by pet food companies is no joke (unlike the previous answerer says). You can Google it or see Almo Nature's no animal testing stance on their website, but here's a summary of the types of animal testing done by pet food companies from the Good Shopping Guide (note all the big companies such as Purina, Hills and IAMS carry out such testing): "Procedures in the UK may involve some of the following: isolation of animals for long periods, endoscopy, periods of complete fasting or food restriction, application of skin irritants, frequent changes of diet during trials and plucking hair from near the base of the tail, as well as regular sedation, anaesthetics and enemas. Many animals become too sick as a result of the testing and have to be withdrawn from trials. The fate for others can be worse still; according to the BUAV, an experiment supported by Iams artificially induced kidney failure in cats, resulting in the death of two animals." Almo Nature is also PETA approved, and do no animal testing aside from taste tests.

Why does it say not tested on Animals with a Paw Print icon?

To almo nature : what is the phosphorus content of this food please? it appears that almo nature/seller are not in habit of answering inquiries.

I googled it and found it had 0.74% phosphorous

Does anyone know if this is low in phosphorous /suitable as part of a renal diet? The packaging doesn't state phosphorous content but is low protein

Hi, i buy this for my male cat who had a urinary blockage 8 months ago. My other cat has cystic kidney disease ( diagnosed at 4 months old....now 6 years) so should be on a renal diet. My last 2 cats died at 4 and 5 years old of hereditary cystic kidneys so when my now 6 year old was diagnosed i knew there was no cure just wanted her to eat happy. As the last 2 I put on strict renal diets and they both hated it and im sure went downhill because weren't eating enough. So both my cats love this. I dont feed just this, i change with Royal canin.
