Great color, great feel, great durability, great protection for my antique desktop

The desk pad was packed well for shipping. Once unrolled, it flattened out nicely. I tested writing on the pad with one piece of paper on top using two types of pen, a fine point, and a gel ball pen. Both wrote on the paper fine, even though there is a very fine texture on the surface. I found I could keep my wrists and arms on the surface for an extended time without feeling that the surface was tacky to my skin. I had no problems with condensation from a cold water glass I left on the surface. It wiped off easily and left no marks on the surface. I have only had one day's experience with this pad so far, but am very pleased to have purchased this pad.

I liked this so much, I ordered two more. This really protects the desk surface and looks neat and clean - no more need for an additional mouse pad or protector when writing on my cherry desk. I really love the look of these too. They unrolled well - no problem staying flat on the surface - and we easily trimmed around desk grommets. Well done! Rarely do I find a product I like so much.

Flatness: It comes rolled up in a long 3" x 3" box so doesn't lie flat at all initially. After two weeks lying on my desk it's pretty flat, but not perfectly flat. It still has very slight ripples, but not enough to effect utility. I expect it will flatten out more over time. Material: It's made from two layers bonded back to back total about 1.7mm 0.067" thick. See pic of strap. The material is pretty soft and flexible. A strap is provided to secure it when rolled up so I presume part of the product concept is portability. Surface: There are two sides, one with a pebble grain and the other with a finer grain, the latter being better for writing. (see pic with penny) The material is fairly soft, so you will dent paper writing directly on the mat. The pebble grain side is less reflective. I prefer its appearance in general. Odor: I had a pretty strong odor when new, very similar to paste shoe polish. After two weeks it's much subsided, but I can still smell it if I put my nose the surface. I generally don't smell it working at the desk and expect it will dissipate even more with time. One minor cosmetic issue is there are broad longitudinal stripes in the material. See pic. It's not very noticeable but its there. I expect if this was placed on a nice flat surface out in the sun for a day, it would flatten and the odor would dissipate pretty quickly. It works well for my purpose so I'm giving it 4 stars. It might be more or fewer for you.

I purchased this item for $22 to place on an acrylic glass top desk. I read other product reviews for cheaper products and was worried that the back of the mat would stain my new desk. Fortunately, this product has double layered synthetic leather on both sides and there's no chance that it will stain my desk. It arrived rolled up, and laid 90% flat when I first rolled it out. the edges are still slightly lifted, but I know it will go down with time. I'll update this review if I encounter any problems, as I just received it today.

Perfect fit for the roll out keyboard. Easy to keep clean

We own two of these. One at home and one at my husband’s office. Thin but sturdy to where it doesn’t move when using or feel like a mat is there. It helps protect my home desk that scratches early. Large enough to where I can set drinks on it to while working and protects desk surface. If you wanted you could forgo a mousepad too but I still use one. It looks really nice.

I bought a desk at Ikea that had a bit of a cheap feeling top surface and I was brainstorming to see what I could cover it with because I loved the desk but hated the surface. This fit the dimensions of the top perfectly and I keep it in place using some thin double-sided tape at the corners and edges (not noticeable from the top). Now I have a fantastic PU-leather surface that seems to hold up pretty well durability-wise and is easy to clean. No issues with hot coffee mugs or anything either!

The color is good, but the smell is bad.

Je suis très contente de ce tapis qui est sur mon bureau depuis le premier jour. Il attrape un peu la poussière car il est noir, mais il est très pratique et cela permet de protéger le bureau + de ne pas avoir de tapis de souris qui gâche la décoration.

Ordered wine red, 60cmx30cm. To cut it short: Product material quality is good as expected, but arrived with really heavy creases throughout the whole thing. Would not recommend unless you have an iron, though looking at other reviews, I probably represent a minority here. My experience: Before using an iron, books and weights were stacked on top for roughly 6 hours (added body weight for proabably a total of 30 minutes) - this did not help one bit . Next, a hairdryer (hot air) was used for around 5-10 minutes while stretching the ends of the long side out - this helped in the very-slightest bit . Next, an iron was applied for around 10-15 minutes - this helped immensely, creases were practically gone and would probably not be noticed by anyone but you. A little under a month from purchase now and creases are slowly starting to show up again, so would probably have to iron twice a year. Overall, average product that would be great without the inconveniences that came along with it. I'd have paid an extra couple dollars to have some sort of cheap plastic structure inside the packaging to avoid creasing and ultimately, a smoother product.
