Love my grout now!
Take it from someone who has used to steam clean light grey grout every 6 months…. This is must buy!!! Picture taken is a high traffic area by doggy door. I watched a YouTube video to apply ( do not use back instructions of bottle) first buy one bottle to see if you like color. Match it to color of tile. I wouldn’t recommend a drastic color from current grout. I ended up liking Timberwolf the best. To apply- place grout colorant in small glass bowl and paint grout with small paint brush. I used my kids artwork paint brush (dollar store). It dries quick and bottle goes very far if applied quickly. I would do 4x4 section at a time. To clean up sides - add hot water in a second bowl and use a microfiber cloth and gently scrub sides of tile for smooth lines. I first did my laundry room and didn’t mop for 2 weeks to allow the sealant/paint cure fully. It’s now been 3 months and I decided to do rest of house. Couldn’t be happier with the results!

Pictures are of a navy blue glass subway tile wall in a shower that was part of a bathroom renovation. The “contractor” made a right mess of the job. One of the issues was this light gray, almost mortar colored grout that was supposed to be almost black.I read a bunch of these reviews for application tips.I ultimately used a Filbert style art brush to paint on the seams and let it dry while I completed the entire wall, which took a couple of hours. The overage came off the glass tiles easily with a damp microfiber towel and the results were excellent. The color did not come off the grout as this is, essentially, a colored sealer which was totally cured. The color is Night Sky.

Easy and looks like new
Great stuff easy to use. I used a bent toothbrush to apply… just dip bristles in the paint and apply to the grout going forward than backward… this makes sure that the paint is applied even and helps it absorb into the grout. I had next to zero overage on the tile but if I did, it took it right off. No mess.

Texture
Coverage was high quality but it does leave a different grout texture than typical. Goes on and has a dried paint consistency.

Amazing product
This is a very strong rubberized like paint. It works perfect to re-color your grout. A lot of work to remove the excess off of the tile. But if you look at videos and follow instructions and you mist down with water after you’ve applied it, it’s easier to remove with a rag.

I clean the excess as I go. This dries pretty quick. A little goes a long way.
Wow I'm so impressed with this product. I have a very large area to do and still have plenty left from one bottle. I love my tile again!

READ ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE
I was VERY skeptical of this product from reading reviews, but it worked GREAT for me--but read how and why...I read where people used a paint brush, and I thought that was rubbish and more tedious to even contemplate. Um...they were right--do it that way. I did my entire kitchen floor NOT using a teeny tiny brush and the clean up was hell. But, later, when I did my mudroom, I actually taped it off ( yes, used masking tape) some lines. I did not tape off each square, just vertical lines. I wasn't looking to mask it perfectly, just enough to cut down the cleaning process afterward. WOW...what a difference. Sure, once I took the tape off I had areas that were overlapped with tape and obviously missed, but nothing that was too crazy. And I used a small brush.I would not--NOT NOT, try to change the color too far from what the grout was originally. I had black grout, and bought the black--it is more of a dark gray but it was totally fine. I doubt you would have much success going from dark to light. My grout was chalky and discolored from sediment and cleaning build-up...none of which I was ever able to remove. This product made it look like the day the floor was first grouted.Make sure you have a small STIFF brush--like an artists brush from a craft store. Have a pail of water and some paper towels to catch any big spills as you go.SHAKE the bottle before starting. I read where someone said the bottle was hard to squeeze?? I just used utility scissors and made the spout of the bottle slightly bigger. I also poured some into a small disposable bowl. When I painted it on, I let it dry for more than an hour, peeled off the tape and then took my time to just clean the overage off of the tile, Don't wet it all down like you do with fresh grout.I am exhausted, it took 8 hours to do my kitchen ( average) and my mudroom. I do not plan on washing my floor for a few days so this has a chance to cure.Good Luck!
