I was a little hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised as I think the quality is far better than similar items from Argos (I’ve put a fair few desks together in my time!). It ships from France or I think Spain and luckily mines was quickly delivered in one piece with no damage luckily (it’s pot luck the way individual couriers maybe handle these desks). The oak colourway is very nice and quite sturdy. Definitely better than 6 months use of my dining table during lockdown!! Easy to put together with simple instructions. Took me just over an hour. So those of you considering buying... Go For It as with Amazon you get no quibble. I give it 5/5 stars!!!

Although similar desks are cheaper elsewhere I chose this one as it was higher than other cheap ones. My partner is 6’4 so needed a desk big enough to fit his legs under but also with a gap high and wide enough to slot his big office chair under when not in use. I was a bit reluctant to order it as the price was quite high for a flat pack desk and a lot of the reviews said it was awful to put together or that the draws arrived broken. It was easy enough to assemble although I’d watched a guy on YouTube do his first just incase so maybe that helped. One of the draws was broken just like others have been but it still went together okay and it doesn’t affect how that drawer works at all. Overall a big heavy sturdy desk with plenty of surface area, drawers don’t hold much at all but we didn’t need them to. Probably could have found a desk locally for twenty quid cheaper but none of them were as high as this one so it ticks all the boxes other than slightly high price.

I made this up alone within an hour or so. Easy instruction to follow and seemed to be able to follow without a problem on the whole, although I did put the drawer runners on the wrong way round the first time. Was easy to put right though. Put plenty of glue on the drawer assembly, there's more than there looks. In the end its very sturdy and looks really nice in my office. It will house a 27" iMac which is not light at all.

Well I should’ve stuck to Ikea!!! I was impatient as the desk I wanted was sold out so I thought this was a good alternative. When the item arrived and I saw the build quality and the fact that IT COMES WITH (crappy) GLUE I was already in despair and the look on my husband’s face as he had to build this thing said it all. The material is cheap and yet £80 is not cheap for a desk. There are marks on some of the panels too. The glue required for the drawers is annoying and runs all over the place! I don’t even think it glues! We will soon find out. I don’t think we can put more than a pencil in each drawer as they are so flimsy. Truly disappointed in this product. Do not waste your money.

Arrived at least 2 weeks earlier then scheduled. Very happy with desk. Good value for money. Suitable for my 16 yo daughter to use as her study desk. She helped me put it together. Good easy instructions. Read other reviews & was expecting screws & lots of items to be missing but only short one small screw. I was still able to use other spare screws they sent so it was not a problem. Definitely recommend this desk.

Looks good and is sturdy however not easy to put up. The instructions are baffling (actually incorrect on one bit) and to be honest without a drill it would have been awful to do. Give yourself plenty of time, plenty of space and someone handy to help! If you do that all will be well.

A few marks & chips on the top & drawers. The pre drilled holes in the drawers didn’t line up with the runners. Had to work out where to drill replacement holes in the draw unit to match the screw hole in the runner. A runner broke so take care when handling. Means the draw doesn’t sit flush. Relatively sturdy but don’t lean on it when getting up from your chair. Not the easiest of instructions to follow. Disappointed in the end result due to the issues when building & drawer not sitting flush. Would look lovely otherwise. Although the drawers look deep from the picture they’re only half that depth so easy for things to fall out the back. Glad I didn’t pay any more for the item,

You get what you pay for of course, and this took me right back to MFI... but having made do with an old kitchen table for months of lockdown home working I've finally decided to get a cheapish desk. I was pleasantly surprised by this. The oak finish is quite attractive and fits into various room decors well. It was easy to put together, though there are several sets of screws and lugs which I have no clue where they should go. It's holding together without! It's a pretty sturdy desk with a good depth. I've been able to use my laptop on a stand, a separate keyboard in front and still have plenty of room to rest my wrists on the desk. The space under the desk is ok, I wouldn't have minded having more sideways room and doing away with the drawers altogether, as they are pretty small and don't even make full use of the depth of the desk. They're also essentially held together with glue (the fronts also glue on so I'm not expecting much durability). The plastic handles aren't very nice to use either, but they work. It won't last forever, but in these current times it's just the job. Pleased with this item.
