What is the percent of mandalic acid in this?

Our cleanser is formulated with 2% mandelic acid (MA). We've found that for a cleanser, this is the right amount of MA to lightly exfoliate the skin and also provide antibacterial and antifungal action to fight microbes. For higher concentrations of mandelic, check out our Level 1 and 2 clearing serums.

Can use of this product increase sensitivity to sun exposure?

All alpha hydroxy acids increase sensitivity to the sun and risk of sunburn, so yes, this product could have that side effect. However, since the cleanser is not left on the skin for a long period of time and the percentage of mandelic acid is lower than what's found in a serum, the increased risk of sunburn is minimal.

tested on animals? any animal by-products in the ingredients?

can i use the body wash and level 2 at the same time?

Yes! You can use the Face and Body Wash to cleanse and then follow up with the Level 2 Serum after you've dried off. If that makes your skin a little dry then be sure to follow up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer.
