Stop shoulder abuse!
One of the most important things about a shotgun is ensuring that it fits the shooter. After getting a new O/U a month or two ago, I realized quickly that the stock was a bit too short for my ape like arms, which made lining up the shot on those little orange devils flying about more difficult than it needed to be. I was a little nervous about doing the fitting myself on this pad, as it is a grind to fit, and the last thing I wanted to do was to have an ugly, ill fitting pad on my new shotgun. So I decided to be smart about it and took it to my local gunsmith. I probably could have done the work as it didn't seem to be that hard, but I traded some cash instead of time cursing at the danged thing in my garage for a few hours. As is the norm with my experience with gunsmiths, it took him a couple of weeks to get around to the project, but after that wait it was back in my hands, and lo and behold, a perfectly fitted pad!Now previously, when heading to the trap range with this, one round or so was about all that was fun, since the fit was poor, and the recoil from the joke of a factory pad made my shoulder cry. (Seriously, they may as well have gone with a metal butt-plate like the Mosin for all it did!) The new pad installed, I practiced shouldering the O/U and it's a whole different experience. Now it's got the perfect LOP, and my shoulder will appreciate the difference after a round or two of trap. I'm looking forward to that tomorrow!

Brought new life to an old gun
Put this on my 30 year old remington whose rubber recoil pad was getting a bit hard. Put this on and it is like shooting a new gun. Wish I'd had one of these on it 30 years ago. One hint when working it down to size, is put the pad in the freezer overnight before using a belt sander to grind it down to size. It will make the pad hard and much easier to work with. I had to freeze mine a couple of times as the sanding warms it up but the patience paid off as it made an extremely nice fit and finish on the gun.

15 minute replacement time
I removed the old recoil pad then use that for a pattern on the new recoil pad. A few minutes on the disc sander( it would be difficult to do without one) and you're back to shooting clays

Fair recoil reduction. Terrible on durability. Deteriorated first season.
Installed this on an old Remington Model 11. Tames recoil but is not durable at all. Somehow a large chunk of the rubber was knocked out of it the first year I installed it. Owner of the company was not very helpful when initially considering this item. Bought it anyway. Will buy Limbsaver from here on. Have installed numerous Limbsaver pads. Decided to give this brand a try. Won’t buy another one.

great pad
Works great, shot 8 boxes and did not have any soreness. I could have shot 8 more. Would highly recommend. One note, the pad is thick so make sure you get the measurements right.
