HOSASTX-110F XLR3F to 1/4" TRS Balanced Interconnect Cable, 10 Feet

Using these to send a dj mixer out to speakers. Works great.

As advertised ... Hosa products are always of good quality/design. Use this to connect my iPod to a Bose L1 live sound/stage PA system. The Bose Tone Match for the L1 Model 1S has three mono channels with XLR inputs and a stereo channel with two 1/4" balanced inputs. I have a 1/8" stereo to dual XLR(M) Hosa cable to connect the iPod to the Bose L1 Tone Match (mixer) but wanted to plug the iPod into the stereo channel of the Tone Match and therefore needed to convert the dual XLR(M) outputs from the original Hosa cable to dual 1/4" outputs. I tried finding a cable with 1/8" stereo mini jack to dual 1/4" balanced output and found one by "CableUp" but it didn't work (didn't get both channels of the stereo signal to the Tone Match mixer from the iPod). So I purchased two of these XLR(F) to 1/4" TRS balanced cables, one for the left stereo channel and one for the right. Now I get the stereo signal from my iPod (or other stereo device with 1/8" mini jack) to the stereo channel of the Bose L1 Tone Match. Works great.

Low enough noise. The interface between the wire and the XLR connector seems a bit flimsy. The wire is also a bit on the thin side. Not the most sturdy gear overall but ok for light use in the studio. Good value for what it is. The female metal connector itself is plenty solid enough.

I'm quite happy with these. I used them to run a short signal from the Main Out XLR output of my Behringer Xenyx X1832USB mixer  Behringer Xenyx X1832USB Premium 18-Input 3/2-Bus Mixer with XENYX Mic Preamps & Compressors  to my Mackie CR3 studio monitors.  Mackie CR Series CR3 - 3" Creative Reference Multimedia Monitors (Pair) Build quality is good, and since it's TRS, the signal is very clean. Works perfectly for my needs. Have 2 of them - left and right - and it sounds great.

I ordered two TRS to XLR male and two TRS to XLR female cables. The two male and one of the female cables were the same thickness. One of the female cables was much thinner. The packaging was identical except one said made in China and the other said made in Thailand.

I have four of the  Hosa Cable STX100M 1/4 TRS to XLR Male Cable - 5 Foot  and two of the  Hosa Cable STX105F 1/4 TRS to XLR3 Female Cable - 5 Foot  and swap the cables out regularly to switch which sound card is connected to the monitors. The connection between M and F cables on one set is too tight, which indicates the relatively poor workmanship. As a result, the housing pulls of the F side and the guts of the F connector stay stuck to the M connector on that set of cables. They sound fine on my studio monitors though, and they are inexpensive so I am just ordering another set of two each in the hopes that the next ones will connect with no problems.

I got 2 of these to run my monitors from my mixer. I should have gotten longer ones, but, like I said in the headline, "It works."

This is a well made cable and works very nicely with the direct out on my bass amp.

Good quality and sturdy

First of all, the wire is incredibly thin... it can break easy. Second, it arrived already broken! I tested it as soon as I took it out of the bag and it did not work. Waist of my time.
