The Kirchler transformer works as advertised. It was easy to program. I wish it had an astronomic feature so it could be set to turn on at dusk and turn off at dawn. It does have the photocell feature but that is not the same as having astronomic timer. For my set up, I did not have a convenient place to hook up the transformer near the lights. I had to put it in my garage, so the photocell was not an option for me. This is not a complaint, just something I wish the manufacturer had as a built-in feature

As always a great transformer. I only use Kichler when installing outdoor landscape lighting. Easy to use and high quality.

This model no longer shows up on the Kichler website, so it may have been discontinued. That said, this is a well designed, attractive, compact DIGITAL transformer. It's not a magnetic transformer. It's important to note there is both a MINIMUM load of 60 watts and a MAXIMUM load of 180 watts. LEDs are low wattage, so add up you loads to ensure you meet the minimum. I didn't know of the min load in advance, but I got lucky. If it's like most PWM circuits operating below min will result in increased heat and poor regulation. It has good, well written instructions with several installation tips. Manufacturer warranty is 10 years according to the installation instructions. It's sealed and rated for wet locations, but would recommend installing it under a porch or overhang to avoid drenching downpours. I'd avoid putting it into an enclosure since it relies on free air conduction to cool the unit. Highly recommend DryConn connectors instead of using the cheap insulation piercing connectors that come with many landscape lights.

Works very well. A little difficult to navigate at first, but performance is top notch.

Bought this replacement unit and it has not worked after a rain event though this is supposed to be outdoor. Its only been in use two weeks. My old one never had this problem for years. I got the run around by True Home Supply on returning for replacement but they've not honored my request. I would not buy from them since they are not reputable.

I've had it set up for a year now and been through one very rough winter (high snow) and it looks like brand new. Has never failed or reset on me and still looks great. Love the stainless steel finish
