If you’re not careful some yolks will bust. It takes some time for the egg white to separate from the yolk.

It’s easy to separate egg whites and yolks. But the yolks would easily explodes in the separater if you shake a little more to detach the whites.

My youngest son is a workout nut & eats 7-10 egg whites with only ~ 2 yolks every morning. When he moved out last summer he needed my egg separator more than we did. My husband bakes lemon meringue pies during the Holidays so we had time to find a new one. This is exactly the coil style of our old one but even better because the handle is non-slip so you don’t have to hold it-it rests firmly on the other side of dish or bowl.

This egg separator works really well. I was even able to let the egg sit in the air until it formed a coat. Then poke a hole in the coat and pour only the yolk into a bowl. This is important when you want zero membrane and zero egg whites. I do this to wash my hair with yolk only, whites are the only thing with scent (sulfur) when warmed.

I have bought many egg separators and have tossed them because they didn’t work I hesitated to buy this one because there were no reviews at the time of purchase. Well this is the BEST egg seperator. I use it all the time. It works very well and I like that I can use it hands free over my bowl

Bought based on reviews and do not care for it. The construction separates egg white well but the yolk tends to fall in between as well and frequently breaks. Through this away and bought a different one that looks like spoon with slits on the sides.

I must have my omelet every morning, or my day is ruined. Lol, I love this Egg Separator I strongly recommend it to all cooks and bakers. I have tried many types, but this is the last one I buy it is also the BEST one I have ever bought.

Good solid construction with hooks to allow resting on top of a bowl. Metal quality is good. The coiled wires can be easily adjusted for best operation. Overall quality is very good. Worth the extra cost.
