Very good value for good quality sew-in name tape. These last much longer than the iron on tape, and as long as they're securely sewn, won't detach during laundry, or get scratchy. My mum's now in a nursing home, and these are a long lasting way to ensure she gets her clothes and personal bedding back.

I bought these to use for my relative who had to go into a care home, so there were a lot of clothes to label. These particular labels have a lot going for them - they’re durable and easy to read, and there’s lots of options to personalise their appearance. And the price is reasonable. I’ve bought them several times and would recommend them. However, for me there is a big downside in that they are made of woven polyester, basically a plastic. It’s very much harder to push a sewing needle through this fabric than cotton, so you have to use a thimble or get a sore finger, or use a sewing machine. I would dearly love to be able to buy cotton fabric sew-on labels but they don’t seem to exist. Maybe they do and I haven’t found them yet, maybe there’s a good reason for not using cotton - but it’s not obvious to me anyway. Cotton labels would be softer than polyester when next to the skin, much easier to sew, also durable and, unlike polyester, is biodegradable.
