They are the perfect size! About 2.5 in diameter, maybe? They cover the whole cookie!! LOOOVE them, been wanting to buy a second set! They look and feel like they will last forever, too!

are these made of aluminum or some other metal?

They are made of cast aluminum. I wash by hand. They produce beautiful cookies and if you hand wash there is no oxidation on the metal.

How do you get the effect in the pictures? Use dough balls and cut away excess dough around the edges?

I just use very sharp paring knife and cut excess dough while stamper is still on the dough, I don’t know this will help you or not

Echte Zeitersparnis im Vergleich zum ausrollen und ausstechen

Die Stempel sind wirklich sehr praktisch. Kekse backen geht so viel schneller. Einfach kleine Kugeln Rollen, aufs Backblech und stempeln. Ich mache immernoch Frischhaltefolie um den Stempel herum, damit der Teig nicht am Stempel kleben bleibt. Die Stempel funktionieren sehr gut für alle Rezepte, bei denen man sonst ausstechen würde. Der Teig sollte also beim backen nicht seine Form verlieren.
