This shop vac has been great for projects around the house. It has plenty of suction and handles bigger messes that a regular vacuum just can’t tackle. The large capacity is especially convenient because you’re not constantly stopping to empty it, and having the different attachments makes it useful for all kinds of cleanup. It feels sturdy and powerful and has quickly become one of those tools we’re glad to have around. Five stars!

This Craftsman 16-gallon vac is a powerhouse! The suction is super strong—it picks up everything from dust to big messes with no problem. I use it in my garage and for cleaning my car, and it works great for both. The tank holds a lot, it’s easy to move around, and the attachments are really useful. It’s also not too loud for how powerful it is. Definitely worth the money—solid quality and does exactly what it’s supposed to do!

This vac replaces a 25 year old Craftsman that finally gave up the ghost. Out of the box, it was easy to assemble. 4 screws and some casters to hammer in. I got it specifically to clean up some construction mess in the basement; sawdust, concrete dust, limestone chunks, and the occasional cobweb. I blocked out a whole Saturday to get the job done. After the new vac was assembled, I gave it a shot. It looks like I'll have a free Saturday afternoon because it's going faster than I thought it may. The 2.5" hose passes things that the old Craftsman couldn't. It has better suction and is much quieter than the old vac. I had planned to sweep up the big stuff first then hit it with the vac -- this baby is picking up 1" rocks so pre-sweeping won't be an issue. The bags seem to work better now than in the older version. I gave up on bags with the old Craftsman after the first freebie. Because I'm using bags, there is virtually no dust that escapes the machine. Not too crazy about the price of replacement bags but the convenience may just be worth it. I've already ordered more. I got the optional diffuser and it seems like a good investment so far. I'm not kicking up any dust behind the machine. It doesn't help the noise any but I didn't really expect it to. So far, I'm very pleased. If it has half the longevity of its predecessor, I will have gotten my money's worth. Wet/Dry vacs have come a long way since the last one. I'm bummed that I waited so long!

Still 'Made' By USA Emerson (despite manufactured in MX), one of the original suppliers of shop vacs to Sears / Craftsman. You can tell by the CMXE model numbers. Bought this to replace my 45 year old 20 gallon Craftsman shop vac that had given great service but whose sucking capacity was waning. New design holds the tools and hose. This 16 gal is the same performance as the 20, but lower priced and meets my 'downsizing.' Found it a little odd that the 20 gal includes the 'muffler' that primarily diffuses the outbound air, but for the 16, I had to buy it (as 3rd party version). So far stable to roll around, but I wish the casters were rubber and a little larger diameter versus small plastic.

This vac has great suction power! I had just purchased a smaller, more compact, wet/dry vac and it was a huge disappointment, so we bought this craftsman with a bigger motor. It does NOT disappoint in that respect! It does have a nice long cord which makes getting around your whole car without unplugging nice. It definitely gets all of the dirt out of our car carpets and shop floors. My only complaint is the size. It's just so big and the hose is huge, which is great for woodshops but for the regular guy who just wants to vacuum the car, its cumbersome. That's the reason for the 4-star rating. That and the lack of onboard storage. I'd love to have this size motor but with a smaller body and hose that is more limber, but I couldn't find one. This hose almost fights you while using it because it's so big and stiff. At the price point it would've been nice to have that option. Overall, if you have the space to store it, it's a great shop vac.

Large capacity, powerful vacuum, hose is flexible and swivels easy

I have an aging Craftsman shop vac that needs new brushes. Naturally, I bought a new vacuum instead. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements to what was a solid design to begin with. In no particular order, they include: 1. Quieter. I actually don't mind standing next to it when it's running. 2. More powerful. Even when my original vac was new, it didn't have the juice this one does. 3. The hose locks into the canister. You can drag the vac around by the hose without it falling out. 4. The switch is large and easy to work with thick work gloves on. 5. There's a handle on the top for easy carrying with one hand. 6. It's lighter than the old one, even though the motor has a higher amperage rating. 7. Storage features for the hose and attachments. The old one didn't have hooks for the hose. 8. THE BAG. Oh, how great is the huge filter bag that can go in the canister. It keeps the pleated filter clean and doesn't reduce suction one bit. Want to vacuum up liquid? Just remove the bag; put it back in when you're done (dry the inside of the canister, of course). 9. Even the attachments are better. The horizontal crevice tool's opening is shaped to allow air flow when it's on a flat surface. The old one blocked air flow unless held at just the right angle. 10. The cord is longer. Huge plus. Highly recommended.

J’ai récemment acheté le CRAFTSMAN CMXEVBE17595 Aspirateur d’atelier 16 gallons (60 L) et je dois dire que c’est un véritable monstre de puissance. Idéal pour le garage, le chantier ou même le nettoyage automobile, cet aspirateur ne recule devant rien. La puissance d’aspiration est impressionnante, que ce soit pour la poussière, les débris, ou l’eau. Je l’ai testé pour nettoyer mon garage, aspirer de l’eau sur des tapis de voiture et même sur un petit dégât d’eau à la maison : il a tout avalé sans problème. La capacité de 16 gallons est parfaite pour les gros travaux, ce qui évite de devoir vider constamment le bac. Les accessoires inclus sont très pratiques et le tuyau large permet d’aspirer des débris plus gros sans blocage. J’apprécie aussi la fonction souffleur intégrée, puissante et utile pour dégager les feuilles ou nettoyer rapidement une surface. Solide, facile à déplacer malgré sa taille grâce aux roulettes, et très stable, c’est selon moi un excellent choix pour ceux qui veulent un aspirateur fiable et performant sur le long terme.

Very powerful. Ended up being too good for the purpose it was bought for (detailing). More fit for purpose and suited to industrial work. Had to return due to unfortunate circumstances but it was dealt with very well with refund put into place.

This vacuum is excellent, bought for shop and worked great with an add on dust collection system. But it’s one of the strongest vacuums I have ever used, it beats the self car wash vacuum station by far. Can clean car mats and rug and seats in minutes even with my huskies hair. I’m considering buying a second one for in home use. The included head attachments are excellent. Huge canister. No complaints.
