Excellent Saw
When you lift this saw out of the box it feels like a quality piece of kit, and it is. It comes with a multi purpose blade with a clear set of written instructions on how to fit/change the blade, as well as a simple guide to depth-of-cut and angle adjustment. I was particularly impressed with the design of the blade guard. The blade is only exposed during the actual cut and the guard snaps back into place as soon as you lift the saw off the work. It is surprisingly quiet with almost no vibration. I have never used one before so got a teach in from a joiner friend. 2 golden rules: ensure your work is firmly clamped down and use a blade guide. There is an enclosed blade guide but I find a straight edge clamped to the piece of work is better. After a dozen or so trial cuts I was able to cut accurately and very cleanly and very quickly too. The only time I experienced kickback was once when I didn’t clamp my work properly. For my diy carpentry this is a game changer and I am delighted with it.

Cutting blade is faaantastic
The blade is faaaantastick. The hand saw is good but I think I would prefer table saw or track saw... My hand is nooot stady enough...

Fantastic saw for the serious DIYer
This saw is absolutely fantastic! The Green Evolution Fury range (as opposed to the more serious orange handled Evolution "Build" range) are intended for the DIYer rather than for a tradesman but with this saw you are still getting a serious bit of kit. For the price it is a bargain and it is hard to believe that, yes, it DOES really saw through all of those different materials - wood, metal, plastic, embedded nails, etc. With the additional diamond wheel disc it will also cut through marble, granite and stone as well! You do have to keep reminding yourself that it actually is OK to do what you are doing with the saw as it seems so starnge at first to be able to cut through everything with a circular saw. Build quality is good, handling of the tool is excellent. The main difference between this version and the orange "Build" model is the depth of cut and the thickness of steel in particular which can be cut through. If this is important to you then check out the other model version - I think they are both excellent. (I have the orange version as a fixed Chop Saw so know what that one can do!)

Decent for domestic use.
It did the job I needed it for, the guide was useless as it wasn't big enough for what I was cutting. The saw itself though was good, easy to use. I don't think it will hold much cuff for industrial use though, but for around the house job, worth it.

Great general purpose saw
I bought this as I was looking for a general all purpose saw for up cycling some old doors and left over lumber. This Evolution Fury takes it all in it's stride and hasn't choked once. It's not the gentlest of cuts - but the F185-TCT multi-purpose blade has made short work of anything I've needed to resize so far. The saw itself is well balanced and feels capable - the 1200 watts give the blade loads of torque - it does't lack for power. Plunge cuts are doable and it also cuts up to a 45 degree bevel / tilt. I've found the adjustments and guides the least substantial thing about this saw. If control of depth and cutting at 90 degrees are paramount the lightweight material used for the guides and the plastic knobs don't inspire great confidence. However to be fair, they stayed where they were put and at this price point the Evolution is a fantastic saw.

Accurate lines
I bought this as a DIYer... Not a pro. I was building some built in furniture. Obviously, I needed accurate lines for specific measurements. This did the job extremely well. Easy to cut straight, accurate lines. I'd buy it again no problem. It has outperformed other models from other brands I have used in the past. Well worth it 👌
