Red KapSolid Ripstop Work Shirt, Tear Resistant, Long Sleeve

It's a great shirt but I had to cut nearly a dozen loose threads upon arrival. It didn't look like the threads were unraveling but as if someone completely forgot to cut the loose ends off.Were it not for the laziness of whatever employee was in charge of cutting the threads, this would be easily a five-star review but that laziness made me suspect that it was a cheap knockoff at first. After wearing it, I'm convinced it is a sturdy shirt and will hold up for a long time

I ordered three work shirts as a “Try before you buy” through Amazon to see what I liked best: the Red Kap “industrial” $16 shirt, this slightly more expensive rip stop $23 Red Kap shirt, and the long sleeve Dickeys $33 shirt. My favorite, by far, is this shirt, the ripstop Red Kap for $23. This Dickeys shirt was my least favorite, and I returned it. The only reason I didn’t return the $16 Red Kap industrial shirt, is that it’s a solid shirt for just 16 bucks, but if I only bought one, it would be this shirt, the ripstop Red Kap for $23. The $16 Red Kap is well made and looks great. It’s cut for tucking it in, but looks fine untucked as well, though it has a rounded tail. This shirt and the Dickeys are cut for wearing untucked. The ripstop material of this shirt looks pretty durable, and just looks really good. In fact, this shirt looks twice as nice as the Dickeys, which is kind of disappointing at that price compared to this shirt and even the $16 Red Kap. The Dickeys was also the only one that arrived with a small stain in its new packaging. The Dickeys is the exact same material as their pants, which is rugged, but not as good looking as the others IMO. All three are sized similarly. I normally wear a large tshirt, which fits comfortably, but I can also wear a medium tshirt, barely. These work shirts, in medium, are perfect. Bottom line, this is a great shirt that could easily go for a lot more.

These are by far one of the most comfortable and durable shirts. They wash well and dry with minimal wrinkles. I’m 5’10” at 235 lbs. with wide shoulders and a small beer belly. The XL fits perfect. Not snug at all and enough room without being overly baggy. I work in law enforcement and have had many fellow officers comment on how nice the shirts look. I would highly recommend this item. I’m very selective with my clothing and these tick all the right boxes for the price.
