How tall is the head without the horns?

Not sure really, gave it to my daughter as a gift ,, she loved it, it's really not that big ,, wish it had been a little bigger, I'm gonna say 12inches w/o horns , very nice ! Overall 21 inches

Would I be able yo easily cut out a square in the back?

Could I hang this outside?
