Misleading description
IMPORTANT: The Phillips head screw is also a sleeve (inner threads). The anchor is a sleeve around a stud that will stick out of your concrete.Given the picture and the description, I thought that the sleeve left in the concrete would be flush and receive a Phillips head screw. But, they appear to be good/high quality. Even though I found a different solution at my local hardware store, I am keeping them for possible future projects rather than return.

Work fairly good for Furring Strips
I will have used approximately 500 of these to install 1 x 4 (pt) furring strips on my cement block home. They work pretty good. Where the blocks are solid (filled), I can use a 1/4" hammer drill bit, and sleeve anchors can be hammered in and tighten down perfectly. However, when the blocks are hollow (no cement filling), I have to use a 3/16" hammer drill bit very gently so as to not blow out the backwall of the block. This does make it harder to get the sleeve anchor in the wall, but if you use a larger bit, I found that they would simply turn inside the block and never flare out. It takes some trial and error, and every now and then, I had to install multiple anchors. Sometimes, I had to start flaring the anchor before fully sinking into the block, and gradually flare and work the anchor into the block cavity. This is not a problem of the sleeve anchor itself, although, I wish a smaller size was available. 2" is the smallest of this flat-head sleeve anchor that I have found anywhere. Overall great product for this application, but they require trial & error in cinderblock installation.

Need to know exact depth
I try to use in cinderblock was to small for my project so it either went to deep and did not have enough room to drill into 1x4 or it went to deep an just fell through the cinderblock( short case they were just to small in length for what I needed)

These are perfect to anchor a hollow metal frame to block walls. Service was quick.
User
Great Quality!
Awesome anchor highly recommend.
User
Do not work
Because of the inherent design the anchors do not grip in the concrete to tighten and spin with the screw. Tried using two, was a total failure. Will call Amazon and see if they'll do a return on 23 of them from the 25.
