I wanted so badly to not like it.
I will be the first to admit I have always been a Cobra CB owner, I was looking for something very small and decided to try this President Bill out. Any way here it goes - 1. Size is crazy, it is so small. It fits about anywhere. I have this in my LJ and I can put it anywhere. 2 Clarity crystal clear (for a CB) both TX and RX good. 3 features, I keep finding more, I guess I should have read the manual but it is pretty feature rich. Change color of display set different Em channels I rarely use 19 0r 9 for that matter so its a cool feature. 4. Internal Speaker, I rarely have a Top on my Jeep so the internal speaker is not quite enough. I use an amplified external speaker and it fixes the issue however when I am engine off and not moving the internal speaker is plenty loud.Overall Impression - I have had it for close to a year now and I highly recommend it, The size is AWESOME and it just works great. Remember with any CB the radio will only work as well as the Antenna. I do have a good quality Antenna and it is tuned to the radio.

If space is an issue, this is a definite winner
I have been using this radio for 5 years & it has worked flawlessly. It fits in my jeep perfectly.Dependent upon the particular antenna to which it has been connected at that moment, I have made contacts up to 20 miles away.A little hint: go online and research how to access the "service menu", and adjust the transmitter power to the full 4 watts. Out of the box, the unit runs at about 3.5 watts.Update: 2 days after I submitted the 1st review, the ASC (auto squelch control) stopped working. I still give this unit 5 stars. It has worked, and continues to work, at levels exceeding expectations. It has been in constant use for 5 years, and I would recommend the President Bill (& the Bill 2) to anyone seeking a solid performer in a cb radio. Without hesitation.

Excellent CB
Absolutely phenomenal cab radio regardless the size! I’ve used cb radios as long as I’ve been driving, that’s over 30 years. I’ve used lots of different models and brands. I can say this cab is as good as ANY I’ve ever owned! I paired it with the president cb antenna “New York” model. This combination has been awesome. I have talked several miles and I run the radio stock “barefoot”. The weather alert works great, scan works great. Can’t say enough good about it. It’s tiny and is easy to find a mounting spot for, would work great in a small vehicle, UTV, or go box. Great radio, it’s no joke, or toy. It’s a high quality radio!

A Little Giant that Reach's out and touches.
This is a great little CB radio. I placed it in my side by side with a 5' fire stick on it, and my CB buddies say it has excellent transmission for such a small radio. For a small speaker, it is very good, clear and audible. I am placing one in my vehicle also. The mic is small and the only draw back is that it has two buttons on top of it that will change the channel if your not careful. That is fixed by holding down the "Roger/Key" button down on the lower left of the CB for a few seconds and a image of a "key" will appear on the screen to let you know you have turned the buttons off. This is a great radio for the money.

Very small CB packed with featuers.
This is a good alternative if you have very limited space. The reason I only give it four stars is for speaker performance and the channel numbers being smaller on the display. I would have omitted the frequency being displayed and opted for larger channel numbers. I would have also opted for omitting the usb port and making the screen wider or used that space for separate squelch.I compared the President Andy, President Bill, President Johnny III, and Uniden 980SSB (already owned the uniden as a base station). I didn't have room for the Uniden so I went with the President Andy. The tipping scale between all the president models was the speaker loudness. Means I don't have to have an external speaker. With the Bill model I definitely would have needed an external speaker and possibly for the Johnny model. The Uniden and the Pres Andy both had good speakers on par with each other.Pro'ssmall, quick access to wx, channel change on mic, quick clip bracket or standard c bracket, 7 screen colors. 9/19 button, front usb port, channel buttons on micCon'slot of static on reception / bad reception (might have been an antenna issue at the time),small lcd screen, no pa, no scan quick key, scanning slow, press on screen to change channel, not very loud speaker and some users may need external speakers, no talkback option

Outstanding CB Radio
This is an excellent radio packed with essential features with great clarity of reception and transmit right out of the box when paired with a good and well placed antenna. The Auto Squelch (ASC) mode is exceptional.Although its great out of the box- to get the full capability of this radio you need to adjust the power level to the max. (Please see below)---This is a 5 watt radio per FCC rules and regulations. To ensure compliance, this radio comes off the assembly line actually tuned to 2.75 to 3 watts. If you want to give it full power to transmit- 4.5 to 5 watts--here's how:1. Ensure the radio is off.2. Press the "CB/WX/Alert" , "EMG" button and press the "PTT" (push to talk on the mic) at the same time.3. With those 3 pressed at once--Turn the radio on(You'll see kind of an ADMIN display on the radio screen--with "PL 127" or something....(This is POWER LEVEL).4. Now--Push on the screen (on the top edge) as would to change channels or scan and you'll see this number increase or decrease depending if you push the top or bottom edge of the screen.Keep pushing until it reaches "PL 145"- this is the maximum Power Level--- "PL 145"Now you're transmitting at 4.5 to 5 watts!Well done President Radio ! 5 stars no question!
