Would this keep the rug in place if I vacuumed it?

I have a large (8' x 10') oriental rug that I vacuum right over with no issues. My rug is on top of carpet and the Never Curl works fine. Hope that helps.

Would this work to hold a rug in place on carpet?

I returned this. Didn’t hold down corners of rugs. Did nothing at all. Just put heavy things on corners for however many days it took for each one to lay flat.

Do they raise the corners enough that they might cause tripping? My rug corner is in a high traffic area

Not at all. The thickness is ~1/8 inch so you would never notice it. We use ours in high traffic where the corner is usually the point of entry without curling or tripping issues.

Will this work with Ruggable rugs? (thin washable top layer, over a velcro type backing)

Yes- I use it for the velcro base pad on my ruggable.
