Lee Men's Modern Series Straight Fit Jean

I first learned of these jeans a couple months ago through Real Men Real Style and am so glad I did. I hope Lee continues to make these jeans for a very long time because the quality, fit, and style is spot on. They are extremely comfortable thanks to the 1% spandex and the coloration of the "Darko" pairs up very well with a nice dress shirt, sport coat and burgundy/cordovan long wingtip shoes or brown dress boots. They are casual and dressy depending on what you pair them with. I would have no hesitation wearing these to a business social event because they look so good. If you are looking for beater jeans, I would say these are a little too nice to beat up but the price can't be beat for this level of quality and style. My only gripe is finding all the colors in stores is difficult, and ordering different colors online isn't ideal. Other than that, these are highly recommended if you want great fit and style without paying outrageous designer prices.

This is my second pair of these and I really like that they seem well made and durable. I like the way they fit and this is mostly due to the stretch, such that they give where they need to (e.g. belly) and cling everywhere else so they somewhat form fit. I've bought other stretch jeans that clung too much and looked odd, but these seem perfect in this respect. These seem to be cut lower in the waist, which I like the look of compared to other higher rise jeans. One downside to stretch jeans is that the knees tend to stretch out and get a little baggy if you bend a lot in them, but washing them shrinks the stretch back to normal. My 'non-stretch' jeans could be worn for a few days in a row, but these get stretched out only after a day or two so they need more washing.

I'm pretty impressed with these jeans. I've been a life long Levi's supporter, but their quality has gone way down hill. I switched to Diesel Jeans, but, I'm sure if you're like me, it's financially not a good idea to purchase an entire wardrobe of their products. I blindly gave Lee a chance and I'm, for the most part, happy. The jeans waist has a perfect fit, which could be a concern depending on how well they hold up in the wash. However, there does seem to be some stretch to the denim, so hopefully it doesn't become an issue. The bottom of the inseam is a tad baggier than I like, but that's just personal taste of having expensive taste. My biggest complaint, though, has to be the orange zipper. I'm sure this is Lee's way of placing a distinctive quality on them, but it just reminds me how much I'm in love with Levi's button fly. I can tell, though, that these jeans are going to be super comfortable. Levi's jeans seem to tug at the crotch, making lounging very uncomfortable. With these Lee jeans, it seems I can contort and stretch and the jeans will adjust to my body well. So if you're like me and have expensive taste without a lot of money in your wallet, I'd say pick up a few of these to supplement the rest of the week you're trying to preserve your more expensive designer jeans.

*** DECEIVING- you would not think SLIM FIT would work not on bigger waisted men! **These jeans are great for men who have a bigger MID section (belly!) and thin legs. **I PROMISE you if you have a build like I just mentioned, big tummy, yet thin hips and legs, these will give you the illusion of being thinner- (it is like how a pleated waist makes you look heavier-there are tricks to looking thinner!) *I can attest to that by living and looking at my husband! *He is a size 40 waist, but in these he orders a 38 inch waist- they have TONS of stretch. * He always felt comfortable in a regular fit, which comes with a wider leg. Well a wider leg makes you look like you not only have a big belly but thick legs as well. GONE are 'pipe legs'! * I shop and have to encourage my husband to buy clothes -as he does not care- not much!- so when I saw how this slim fit straight jeans looked on him I pounded the internet looking for any pants besides jeans and Lee's Modern Series is the best so far! *He likes them for the stretch. They are super comfortable. *It did take him getting used to a lower rise, but now it is no big deal. *ORDER A SIZE SMALLER WAIST, regular length, and you will look FABULOUS! *My favorite jeans and slacks on my husband!

I bought this same pair of jeans maybe two years ago. I wear them all the time and wash after wash, they just keep on going. Of course after so many washes, jeans loose some of their color. So I bought a new pair. I was somehow able to find the same design and color. I was very surprised as they find just as the old pair did. Minus the "new" stiffness. I went to Kohls and all of their jeans were $44 and up. Most were over $50. I mean, they are just jeans right? So I feel I paid a great price for a pair of jeans that I know will last a while. I am a bigger fellow, and I have plenty of room in the waist and seat. And these are straight legs. Not SKINNY jeans that the youth wearing these days. They are stylish enough to wear black Kenneth Coles and an oxford style shirt to go out on the town with straight from work. I recommend this jeans based on fit, finish and longevity.

This was the 1st pair of Lee jeans I’ve had since I was a kid and my mom bought my clothes (+/- 1975 - 1990)... I’m a stocky man, and good fitting jeans are always hard to find for me (I.E, waist fits but, thighs are tight, or rise is to long)... So, over the course of the years, I’ve found the only way I’ve ever been to find jeans is to actually go, try on multiple pairs and after much work; find one pair (yes, I’ve wasted a lot of money on jeans that just don’t fit/uncomfortable)... However, I needed a new pair of jeans for Friday wear at the office; and took a shot in the dark with these because the price was so very economical... I was pleasantly surprised by just how good the quality was, and how well they fit... Since, I’ve purchased three more pairs in multiple colors (khaki & brown )... Anyway, that’s one middle aged man’s take on the one pair I received...

I had a pair of this brand/style before (still do, they last a long time if you are not wrangling cattle every morning in them), and so I saw they were here and bought another. Same size, style, and they fit great, look great. Not sure how people wear these jeans out in a month and complain about it. They are not DENIM high-stress work jeans, nor make any claims to be such. As I said before, I have a prior pair which are now 5 years old and still without a single hole or tear in them. I will enjoy this second pair just as much. Prolly going to buy a third and fourth in different colors just because they are that great of a jean.

I bought these very same jeans about a year or so back, same color or wash also - the captain. The first pair have a really nice fit all around. They are a bit more fitted then the usual relaxed type jeans and they have been my favorite jeans for about a year or so. The one draw back as I have read in reviews is they may not last long, I noticed also the jeans wearing through where they connect to the top of the back pockets. But taking that into consideration I figure they are worth it for maybe 2 years because of the comfort and fit. Ok, so I bought another pair, they look and feel great, but what I have noticed is the fly opening is not as long. My original pair of jeans the zipper length is 5 3/8 , and these new jeans it is 4 3/8, that is a quite a difference. So this is a big draw back when taking a leak, I have to open my belt and unbutton the jeans every time I want to relieve myself. I did not notice this till I had the tags off and were wearing the jeans for a while so I can't really sent them back. I have a pair of jeans from Kohls, urban pipeline, nice jeans, nice modern fit , but same issue. What's the deal ? Do they realize they are making jeans for men? I also think there is a problem today with major clothing companies mass producing in other countries when it comes to uniformity of products. Depending on what country it is made in and what color it is , things can vary quite a bit. I think I will take a break from buying clothing online for awhile and go to actual stores to look at products first hand before buying. I doubt I will buy these jeans again. Again great fit and look but the fly opening is a real negative here.

These Lee jeans looks just great. Very soft cotton combined with elastane. Modern cut. They fit perfect for me. Size 40Wx30L. This is my second pair I buy . It has arrived from USA in 11 days.

Good style of colour but bit different to whats shown in picture. Great fit
