As a fan of old American-made tooling, I'm always hesitant to touch anything modern. I recently sold my router table to save on shop space but kept my shaper. I still needed to run my collection of router bits so this spindle was just the ticket. Build quality is excellent. Threads are smooth and the collets lock up tight. The spindle is ground and perfectly balanced. Really not anything that could be improved with it. I know the whole argument about running router bits in a shaper, what with the shaper RPM being too low but it's fine on all but the smallest bits. Grab a good shaper and this adapter and you won't look at a lighter duty router table ever again. Currently running this in a vintage (1940's) Delta HD Shaper.

I ordered this spindle adapter so that I could run my larger router bits on a newly acquired Powermatic shaper. It arrived well packaged in a plastic tube, with anti corrosive wrapping, on time and for a reasonable price. The fit and finish of the adapter and the collets is superb, and it came with both 1/2" and 1/4" collets. Hard to find this kind of quality, US made I think, for this kind of price and delivery. Kudos to these folks. As usual, Amazon delivered on time, with care, in a couple of days. Touchdown.

I haven't used it yet so all I can go off of is what it looks like. Nice machining. Very nice collets, flexible. Looks to be small enough in height where it's not going to require a sub table. When I finally get to use it I'll edit this review.

This was nicely made, fit and finish was excellent. Wished they offered wrenches that fit. I would have been happy to have paid for them.

A well-machined and finished adapter. The collets are extra-secure. Make sure you order the right size mount for the diameter of your shaper's drawbar (They offer several). A pretty good deal compared to others I looked at for my (older) Delta HD shaper.

Very well made tool, perfect fit to my 1950 Rockwell shaper, it’s nicer than the one I had and broke the collet on. I would highly recommend this product to anyone else Thanks.

I think that the nut could be tapered a little to allow the bit to be higher from the table for certain cuts, and still have a good hold on the bit shank.
