Question 1

Does this have the certifications like the other t&n matresses (standard 100 by oeko-tex, greenguard gold, certipur-us)?

Accepted Answer

As an update to your question, the Nod has been certified STANDARD 100—Class 1 by Oeko-Tex as of the end of December 2018. Thank you for your patience as this certification was being processed! —The Tuft & Needle Team

Question 2

How does this compare to their "hybrid" model on the T&N website? I see that it's two inches shorter (10" vs 12") but are there any other differences?

Accepted Answer

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out with your question. I'll be happy to quickly break down each mattress.

The Nod Hybrid is a 10" thick mattress made with a combination of Tuft & Needle T&N Adaptive® foam, open cell memory foam, and pocket coils. These materials work together to provide the great support of foam mattresses with the more traditional comfort of spring mattresses. The mattress cover is made with polyester and is designed to be soft to the touch and breathable without sacrificing durability. It is resistant to pilling and tearing.

The T&N Hybrid is a 12" thick mattress comprised of 6 layers of foam and coils designed by Tuft & Needle. The T&N Hybrid is made of T&N Adaptive® foam but in addition, this mattress's pillow top layer is infused with carbon fiber and graphite to keep it sleeping cool. The additional layers of pocketed coils and foam found in the T&N Hybrid makes it more breathable and slightly softer than the Nod Hybrid. We've also reinforced its edges with firmer springs to add support. Its cover is a polyester knit ticking designed to be soft to the touch, feeling more luxurious and resistant to pilling.

I hope this has helped! If you have any other questions or would like to speak to our team directly, email us at amazon@tn.com.

Best,
The Tuft & Needle Team

Question 3

Does the Nod come with the same return policy as the other mattresses?

Accepted Answer

The Nod comes with Tuft & Needle's free 100-Night Sleep Trial. This is processed by Amazon, so in light of a return, one would just need to reach out to Amazon's Special Handling Team. Feel free to reach out to us with any further questions or concerns at amazon@tn.com. —The Tuft & Needle Team

Question 4

we like an extra firm mattress - is this extra firm or does it sink in as the body lays over it?

Accepted Answer

I have several back issues -I needed a firm (but not rock hard ) mattress. This mattress has been a God Send ! It’s firm enough for me to sit up and get in/out of but doesn’t put my arm /shoulder to sleep like many extra firms will do. I’ve had for several months -no soft spots or holes to cave into -it’s perfect for me!!
